I have to say, this tire carrier and rear bumper are ROCK HARD. The product is by far what it's meant to be...

This is a solid spare tire carrier. I shopped for a long time before deciding on the Rock Hard setup. They didn't disappoint. I installed it myself in about 3 days of working part time. Note: for my 87 YJ the frame brackets do NOT match the picture on the web site. They must be welded to the frame, not bolted. The upside is you don't have to drop the gas tank to get bolts through the frame. I know this is not the cheapest tire carrier, but I wanted something long term and you pay for what you get. I put a 33x12.50 tire and high lift jack on it and am planning on adding the gas can mounts soon. I'm glad I didn't go cheap!

My 35" spare tire was too big for the stock tire carrier and I was unable to use the hitch to move my boat and PWC's. Instructions were easy to follow, hard part was removing the stock bumper and receiver hitch.

This bumper does not rattle and fits my jeep very well. The latch system closes easily. The tire carrier can be configured to several bolt patterns and tire sizes. I would buy this bumper again.

The Rock Hard front and rear bumpers are fantastic. The fit and finish are better than expected. The holes lined up perfectly and the outside seams are smooth and attractive. The company thoroughly thought out the design and implementation of this product. I installed the back by myself and the front with the help of a friend and was very impressed with how it turned out.

This thing is an awesome product. Heavy and hard to install -- but once on the Jeep you'll never miss the OEM bumper or tire carrier. The bumper and tire carrier allow a larger tire, high lift mounting, an antenna or trail flag. You may have to mess with the high lift jack mounts a bit to make them fit and not cover up your license plate (stock location) depending on your jack. This product is the basis of a large range of accessories and add ons -- including a license plate relocation bracket, a pair of fuel / water carriers, cargo basket. The durable steel construction makes it easy to use simple u-bolts to attach any number of additional accessories.

I have a 2003 Jeep TJ, I use the bumper with swing away tire carrier to carry my large spare tire on frequent off-road trips. I run trails, rock crawl, etc. and I love this bumper and swing away tire carrier. I also purchased the optional frame reinforcing pieces and license plate holder. I have no problems with this product.

This is a great product, very strong and appears will stand up to years of abuse. The install was pretty easy, some parts had me scratching my head but admittedly im a novice when it comes to these things. One person install is possible if you have something to prop the bumper on to get it lined up, after that you just need to bolt it up. [...] They just got a customer for life and will be moving on to the front bumper next. [...]

This is what Jeep should have done. It's an easy install, holds the spare and Hi Lift, and with the addition of two u-bolts, a shovel. It's rocksolid, no rattles, and locks open The only thing I would change is mounting the can carriers a little lower.

Instructions were not to clear as TO what needed to take place I.E. Step 1. ETC

I haven't had the bumper long but looks alone are amazing. It has been built well and the finish is excelent. My rear Flares and rear quarter panel trim had to be removed but oh well. It has great function. This thing is a tank. Took two of us to mount it it was soo heavy.
