Reviews: Rampage Recovery Front Bumpers

Very pleased with this bumper. Looks great with or without a winch. Finish was consistent. Factory fogs lights installed without any alterations. Weight was reasonable. Would like to see holes drilled for front license tag as well as mounting points for additional front lights.

This was easy to install. One person can fit it into place. It would be easier with two people. Looks great and easily fit my winch. A nice addition to my 2010 JK

Easy install. Was able to do by myself. I had it coated with bed liner coating to prevent scratching but not simply to improve looks. Great Bumper but only con is China made.

I can't speak of it other than it looks really sharp. I haven't had to use it yet. I am very happy with its fitment and it looks sharp. So far I am very pleased.

I purchased the gloss black rampage front bumper at the 4wd jamboree show for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler as I loved how the bumper flowed right up to the fenders and helped protect the fenders. I also wanted a bumper that accepted the factory fog lights. I purchased a winch at the show and it fit right on the bumper perfectly. I love the results so I just bought another rampage bumper for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler.

Picked it up today, after waiting a few weeks for 4 wheel parts to get it in. Took about 2 hours to Install, only need help from wife to lift it on to the frame. Recommend installing it your self - 4 wheel parts wanted me to wait two more weeks and charge another $320 to install.

There was some washers that Rampage forgot to include, the guys at 4 Wheel Parts went out and got some!! 4 Wheel Parts did the install and got me right in without an appointment!!

Love the bumper, ordered with winch plate, you will need to get countersunk screws for winch, Factory driving light fit nicely and are protected, would definitely recommend this, also was easy bolt on , no mods required.

Needs better instructions, so that you're not trying to put the fog lights in after the bumper is on the vehicle. Bumper looks great, controls the forward thrown mud and snow, and gets lots of compliments. After I hit my first deer, I'll let you know how tough it is.

Spent 3 months researching front bumpers in both comparing prices and capability. This seemed to be the best bang for my buck so I decided to purchase it. I have listed all the Pro's above but to go into further detail I love the style, added protection, higher clearance on approach angles, winch plate, and fog light option. It also has a grill guard so that you can add addition lights. I purchased the textured steel which looks better than the gloss in my opinion. After reading several reviews online and asking a few Jeep clubs I had heard that some individuals had problems with shipping. My bumper was shipped via UPS and had no damage when it came in. I was not able to clearly list my Con's due to the limited text space. My Con's would be that you can't re-attach your splash guard after installation. It actually looks better without it being able to see all the mechanic components BUT you will lose a bit of gas mileage. That being said if you have a Jeep you probably weren't that concerned with MPG in the first place. I did purchase the Rampage fog light kit to go with this bumper. The lights work great but the switch in the kit will not fit any blanks in a 2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler JK. This made installation almost impossible. I had to take it to a dealer. Last Con was that there was no place to put a front license plate. Overall excellent bumper and if you wait for promotions a great price! Paid about $200 less after searching through different vendors and waited for 4WD.COM's free shipping promotion. -Andrew

I've loved the look of this bumper for months then finally pulled the trigger on the textured black to go on my black 13 wrangler. Comes with everything you need and is a simple install all bolt on.

Just recived my special orderd 2012 unlimited Rubicon and purchased this bumper along with several other items from 4wheelparts. Just three days old we pulled into a friends garage and started tearing it apart and putting on entras. This bumper was easy to install, I held it in place and my buddy was on floor creeper and bolted it on. I went with this one due to the fact it was all welded construction and the stinger sticks out enough to give protection to the smittybuilt winch and also a little added protection in case of a animal running out im front of us. I would tell any one that they should consider this bumper, like the first review everyone is saying that they like the way it looks. Just a small side not, we was able to bolt the bumper on and then bolt the winch on.

love this bumper. it has stood up to some hard offroading/rockcrawling. i get lots of compliments on the look of my bumper. could not be happier

Had it on my 2012 and had to get it for my 2014 rubicon Easy to put on. Looks great and is durable. TIP put the winch on the bumper before installing it. Depending on the winch some hole drilling may be needed

The product was easy to install. It only took 30 min. After I took off the factory bumper. Very pleased with the way it looked and the durability of this product. It may weight 100 lbs. but it was still easy to mount.

Overall this is a very nice bumper. I chose this for the overall look and the fact that it takes both a winch and factory fog lamps. The install went pretty well but it was an incredibly tight fit to get it onto the frame. It took a LOT of pushing and perfect alignment to get it on there. There were dismal instructions for the winch mount plate. I really like the textured finish as I think it matches my aftermarket fender flares. I really wish it had holes or tabs for additional lights and somewhere to attach my license plate.

This bumper was so well packaged I wasn’t sure if I would ever get through it all to see what it looked like! They thought of it all when packaging this thing to make sure it wasn’t damaged in shipping. The bumper seems well made and tough. Longevity and use will tell. The powder coat isn’t great. I barely touched it when installing my winch and it scratched so I’m assuming that’s not going to hold up well and I’ll need to have powdercoat redone. Drings were supposed to be included, but I didn’t get any. Instructions said to reinstall factory fog lights with screws. Not sure which screws but the ones from factory bumper won’t work and I didn’t get new ones in the box.

Been looking at this for a while then decided to purchase. Installation went fairly smoothly except went out and purchased 17mm impact socket to remove old and replace with this bumper. Were instead 18mm so had to go out and buy yet another socket- need to correct instructions. Smallbolts that hold on fog lights a little hard to get a hold of from the backside.
