After running less expensive models that left me stranded a few times I decided to upgrade to the DUI. Money well spent. Installation was fairly easy. Upon initial start up I noticed quicker starts, and a more responsive throttle. I ran for 50 miles and pulled it back out to recheck the gear and all good. No needing to adjust with shims or anything. Drop it in and go!!

It installed easily! Really cleaned up a lot of wiring. Great upgrade on my 75, cj5, 304 amc torker cam torker intake. throttle response is beautiful!!

Seems like a good distributor. I wish it had more slots to clock the cap though. I bought a cheaper distributor that you could click the cap. It helps tremendously.

Eliminates computer and engine clutter. Fast cold starts, super smooth idle and power. Use a good set of new 8mm plug wires, re-gap new plugs to 50-55. Way better power curve for off road and highway driving. Used alone is OK, but with new Weber Carb makes it feel like new engine. Quick way to better mileage and towing torque. Will really sling mud off road

i bought in december and it has been cooold. put it in following ther directions works great. i also found a 12 ga hot wire out of back of fuses in engine campartment which was only hot when key was on. that made it supper easy

Put DUI distributor on 88 yj with Howell fuel injection and it fixed my timing and idle issues from the conversion. Idles smother than ever and quick throttle response. Deffinately would use again on next project. Easy to wire in. Recomend using a relay to give full voltage from battery.

I removed the old OEM distributer, coil and ignition module. Installed the new DUI distributer, ran a single 12 Volt wire from the battery, through a new relay (switched by the key switch) to the "Batt" connection on the distributer and it started on the first try. I did need to install a diode in the 'alternator excite' wire to eliminate power back-feeding the distributer. Prior to installing the diode the engine would continue to run after the key switch ws turned off.
