the top is very difficult to snap to the header.

The top fit great. The snaps were easy to engage on the channel. The velcro around the roll bar creates a secure fit at the driver and passenger sides. The rear straps need to be fairly tight to minimize the flapping at highway speed, but you will need to be very careful not to over pull the straps. The buckles and hooks are plastic. I would suggest not pulling the straps too tight initially. Let the top set out in the sun to warm-up and expand. Then pull the rear straps tighter. Pull on the top with one hand and the strap with the other as you tighten so that not all the stress is on the strap and buckle.
