What a simple and awesome addition to my Jeep. On road trips, camping trips, and even day-outings in a Wrangler, you can't have enough space for accessories, keys, maps, phones, GPSs, permits, sunglasses, sunscreen, chapstick, binoculars, flashlights, tissue dispensers, ball caps, or whatever. This overhead shelf fits all of that stuff, and I installed mine in a way that doesn't take advantage of the full amount of space it could provide. (I mounted mine with the rollbar circular brackets up and center bracket down, raising the shelf an inch or two, and getting it even more out of the way.) My only caution is that I wouldn't over-tighten the nyloc nut that affixes the slip joint bracket to the center bracket--I purposely broke off the bolt but it broke a little too easily it seemed, so be careful. The overhead shelf is just that, a shelf. There is no lid or doors, so you can only store things up there when you have the top up or bikini top on. Overall, I'm thrilled with this item. For the money, it's the most functional storage day-to-day that I've added to my Wrangler. My Jeep-driving friends have all been interested in it. I have and would recommend this shelf to anyone.
