When I bought new tires for my Jeep. I found that the spare tire will no longer fit. I bought this product and it was easy to install. I need no extra tools just the standard tire Jack Ranch. It even came with two extra brackets to Raise the backup light above the tire, but was not needed

This is a great way to TEMPORARILY carry a over-sized spare tire. A heavy tire mounted to this will eventually damage the hinges on your tailgate. Buy this to use until you can save up for a bumper/tire carrier combo ($$$). This kit would be more complete with a way to extend the rubber tire bumpers that are mounted to the tailgate. With this installed the tire no longer makes contact with these bumpers. Therefore, the tire rattles pretty bad when driving. The quality of the bracket looks top notch. Grade 8 hardware would have been a nice touch... looks like they provided grade 5. That is okay for this application. In conclusion, this is a well made product. With the inclusion of a way to extend the tailgate mounted tire bumps, it would be a 5 star rating.
