Very Helpful and friendly Customer Support. I bought this to allow me to be able to remove and replace my hardtop on my Jeep. Installation was straight forward and the system worked well to remove the top. When I went to replace the top for the winter, the Remote Control got caught on the spare tire when I was pulling my jeep out to turn it around. I pulled the cord out of the Remote Control and needed to know which wire went where on the internal switch. I contacted Customer Support and after providing information they very quickly sent me the actual schematic to rewire the Remote Control.

This hoist for my hardtop was easy to install, the quality is top rate. The best part is now I am able to take my top off without calling anyone for help! Love the product, recommend Lange to anyone wanting to take their hardtop off.

Searched around and found no better price; however, felt this unit overall was expensive for what you get. Having said that, it is easy to install and makes hard top removal on a 4-door Wrangler a one-person operation. As a previous hard-top TJ owner, I used muscle that thing up and down by myself without assistance. Now a JK Unlimited hard top owner and there was no way I was going to be able to solo getting that thing on/off. My garage height is 17' and so the only option for me from Lange was the Power Hoist-A-Top. Ironically I had to buy the power vs manual version due to my garage height, but the remote control unit is on too short of a leash and requires me to be get a ladder to reach it dangling up there (about 10' off ground). Otherwise, this product works well and hard-top removal is super easy. I have owned the unit a few weeks and removed and replaced the top several times using the Power Hoist with no problems or challenges (just be sure your Jeep is aligned directly under the lift point above the hard top). I did add a back-up strap using eye-bolts to help steady the top (mine wanted to spin a quarter turn to the left)and provide a sense of safety just in case the winch mount vibrated loose from the ceiling.
