I used these lights on my 90 toyota pickup to convert to the better lamp. Nice part is i can now upgrade to a much better bulb. If you need the seeing power then i recomend it. Otherwise its not a huge difference for the money spent to make it happen. More money to upgrade your bulb which i would recomend doing in addition to this lamp.
Installed on a 2001 Cherokee Limited. Better than stock sealed beams, but they do allow moisture inside - even with bulbs factory sealed in the unit. You'll still need foglights in bad weather. About 3-4 times what factory bulbs would cost. Improved performance is worth it under the right conditions.
Very good Wrangler replacement..
Lights are great, about three times brighter than the brightest lights availible at parts store without ordering HID. Great light dispersement over road, easy to install, definitely worth the small investment over stock light housings. You won't be dissapointed.
Brings old Jeep head lights up to todays standards
These headlights were a definate improvement over the OEM. Nothing new there, but the improvement was not what I expected from all the hype and review I read. I would purchase these again and am pleased with the performance at night.
Great product that allows the driver to actually see where he is going again at night. Nice and cheap, easy to install, and plug and play. Should have done this mod when I first bough my Jeep!
Your not going to turn night into day but the improvement over the OEM head lights is a welcome sight.
The stock TJ headlights are pretty dim overall. These units were a simple upgrade and a very noticeable improvement at night. I had to re-align the lights (using a torx driver) in order to get the right light pattern after installing these. I can easily see up to 3 lanes width at night, and high beams are great. Highly recommend these over stock sealed-beam.
needed new headlights, and these things are bright!!! easy to install, and seem environmentally friendly too. instead of throwing away a whole headlamp, you just replace the bulbs, reusing the glass reflector housing.
Purchased off shelf at 4 Wheel Parts
It installs just like a regular sealed beam but don't touch the H4 glass bulb with bare fingers when you assemble it. The low beam pattern helps in town driving and the high beam lights the road almost a half mile. I will most likely install a 80/100 watt bulb later with a relay to get more distance
It is much easier to change out a bulb(plug and play). Having to try to find a #10 torx was a pain. I can see %95 better on back roads and the back 40 and the zenon bulbs I splurged for pushed it up to %125 or better vision.
The install was super easy, they fit the stock mounting hardware with no modification. The only drawback is the high beams, while better than stock high beams still have a few dark patches. The low beams actually seem more useful than high.
