Reviews: G2 Dana 44 Jeep Wagoneer Front Chromoly Axle Kit - 98-2033-005

I have yet to install these shafts in my Dana44. Upon initially examining them, there are noticeable differences compared to the stock axle shafts. The yoke ears are beefy and have added material all over. The caps of the 5-760x U-joints are actually recessed slightly into the ears, unlike the stock shafts that are so thin, the 297x U-joint caps stick out a bit. The full-circle C-clips are a sight to behold after dealing with old half-clips that like to fall off. Besides the meaty yoke ears, the shafts themselves are much thicker near the splined ends, and the long-side shaft has a 'stepped' diameter that I've read helps equalize torsional loads on both sides of the axle for longer life of all moving parts. These come in-box fully assembled, and are a great price and very available. All of the needed engineering to make a better, stronger shaft for this axle has been covered in the design of these new shafts. I am very excited to install them!
