Straight forward installation. Takes several hours to teardown and rebuild everything. Must have access to a press to install the shaft bearings. Be sure to protect the logos on the end of the shafts with thick steel to prevent damaging them. Happy with the product, very complete, includes everything you need.
I've had these axles in the same rear under multiple jeeps and never had a problem with them
These axles worked perfectly and assembled just like stock. Be aware of the two different bolt patterns on the flange. All in all, very pleased with these.
The axles are top notch, Mine didn't come with anything regarding wheel stud size- may have been lost in transit/ I just don't know what studs to use/ Help
On some Applications you may have to shave some off the end of the shaft.
Had one of my factory rear axle shaft bend at the flange and replaced with a G2. It has handled the abuse I put it through. Great product!
This is a great kit. Hands down all the best hard wear and easy to install with the Dana 44 housing. Take EXTRA notice when taking old axles out that you use the correct plate when assembling new axles! The ones provided in the kit my not be what you need and will then need to swap over from the old axles.
Strong, Heavy duty, well built axles. Would buy again. Well lets hope not cause that means it broke. But great quality none the less.
I really enjoyed this kit. Much more solid than oem. Only too small beefs. One, no instructions - which you can google dana 44 rear axle replacement to find directions easily. I used Dana's guide. Two, the wheel studs are a 1/4" shorter than oem studs. I was able to order replacements made by Allow USA, 99STUD2 1/2" dia. 20 pitch 2" length, but it would have been nice to have been warned ahead of time. Steel wheels would have been ok, but my alloys - Pro Comps - are a good 1/2" thick leaving 1/4" of thread for the lug nuts. Would order again! Thanks!
Have not got to put this part to the test yet.But looks good so far.Happy with the fast free shipping.
The quality and finish is great. Installation with disc brakes upgrade recommended but very complex even for a professional mechanic with instructions as provided. These upgrades are for the Continental Divide Ride.
Do yourself a favor and have a large press ready to remove your old axle flanges, or be ready to cut off the old bearings after you remove the shafts.
Wasn’t packed properly so it came in a busted box all scratched and dented but aside from that product was as advertised and not too damaged to work.
Just installed these in my 78 CJ. They didn't come with threadlocker as instructions said. They do seem well made and installatiin wasn't too bad. After talking to G2 tech support I realized I had to mod the differential, which is not referenced in the instructions. It should be. Hope these last me another 40 years, as did the originals.
The best part about this product is the price and I've put a lot of torque on these axle shafts and no problems
