Air bags did the job

These did exactly what I hoped they would. I wanted to maintain headlight aim and reduce the load on the factory air ride system. People that complain about leaking soon after installation likely didn't fully insert the tubing into the fittings or cleanly cut the tubing to length. I likely won't have another towing vehicle without these or similarly appropriate for the vehicle.

Easy install, do a good job!

Easy installation once you figure out the best way to tie the bags up to slide between coils. I didn’t want to remove my wheels and struts. Beginning to end 45min plus the time to jack up the car. Seem durable and do a great job of not allowing the back end to sag when towing and keeps back end bounce to a minimum. Not really noticeable at lower pressures but that’s to be expected. I bought a push-in Tee fitting to be able to fill both bags at the same time to ensure equal pressure in both.

Highly recomended if you tow!

Installed these on the rear of my FJ Cruiser. Took a few hours to install with my son helping. I tow a 3500lb trailer that would drop my rear end about 2" once the trailer and gear were loaded. These got the rear back up when towing and I keep a few pounds in them when not towing to stiffen the rear. I have towed about 1000 miles so far with no issues.

Works as advertised, great quality

The quality of this kit is evident from the moment you open the box. The plastic tubes are also mabe by Firestone and are very high quality. The valves on the bladders are a push-type, so once you pust the tubing in, it's secured, no need to tighten anything. Getting the bladders inside the coil springs is not super easy, but a little soapy water really eases the task. Make sure to follow the instructions and deflate the bladder using a 3" piece of tubing and the plug to keep the air out. I used a tire iron and the butt of a screw driver to push the bladder in place. Once installation was done I inflated the bladders to 20 psi (35 psi is listed as maxmum) and attached my enclosed trailer. I was very happy to see that no more rear sag was present like before. I then rode around town and the rear end was solid. I also drove with the bladders still at 20 psi but without the trailer, and the ride is not harsh or bouncy at all, so I just leave them at 20 all the time now. I'm very pleased. This kit is designed for and was installed on a Mitsubishi Outlander. Mine is a 2007. Firestone makes kits for many other vehicles, so check to make sure you get the right one.

Works good

The air bags are working good. After installing the air fill valves where indicated on instructions I had to purchase valve extensions in order to inflate as the valve stems were too short for the air nozzle after going through the double-wall of steel they had to go through. Once inflated the air bags did their job.
