Installation was a snap, but reaching the lower bolt on both sides was a little tuff. Instructions didn't say to do so, but removing the grill clip made it much easier to reach them.

Smart purchase.

I bought this for off road and because every time a Semi would pass on the highway the hood would bounce because of the factory rubber hold downs, so figured this would hold the hood down more securely. The unit is adjustable so you can adjust the tension on it so the hood holds down better. But not to much or you won`t be able to withdraw the holding pin to open the hood. Pretty easy to install just a bit tricky getting at the lower nut for removing and installing.....had to bring the ratchet up from under the fender to get at them.
