Reviews: Daystar Super Leaf Spring Shackles

Item was very good quality and was very easy to install. Total install with sons help was 3 hours for both front and rear. Raised the vehicle just enough to fit 31x10.50 tires on 15x8 rock crawlers and made the vehicle look great. They come unpainted so you need to paint them yourself or just leave them stainless.

I installed both the front and rear 1/2 inch lift greasable shackles on my CJ as well as reclaced the spring hangers with beefier ones. A couple of things about the Daystar shackles: They don't come in galvanized steel anymore even though the site says that they are galvanized. Also the front shackles have the circular tubing in the middle for stability but the rear shackles have a flat bar not the circular tube. Daystar says it's becasue they don't have the space to do the tube style on the rear shackles. Its not that big of a deal though.

Work much better than the mismatched setup I had on the CJ, Ride quality was greatly improved and install was easy. I like the fat they are greasable too.

Bought these to replace a set of worn out Currie Greaseable shackles. Very solid construction, make sure to order Bushings, as the shackles come with bolts but no bushings. Not sure what kind of corrosion protection these have, which is why I only gave these four stars. They are solid units. I will be picking up some for the front of my Jeep.
