Nice economy hitch

This hitch receiver is about as easy as it gets to install. I had to remove the tow hook on my '07 Wrangler which was held in place by three bolts, and install this hitch which is held in place by four bolts. Total time spent including removal of tow hook was 25 minutes. This is one of the easiest equipment installations that can be done, and even the most technically challenged person could do it. Requires a 19mm socket and a wrench to hold the nuts while tightening down.

Solid and Well Built

The hitch is solid and well constructed. The installation was straight forward, 6 bolts attached to the frame. I used it to pull the a trailer rated at 3100 lbs (2 5/8" ball) loaded with 2400 lbs of construction debris.

Far better than cheaper versions.

Cheaper hitches just spot weld another square ring around the outer edge of receiver. This one looks like like it was forged solid. More strong, less chance for rust, looks better. It does not have tacked on nuts that can break loose. Easy to put on.

Easy to Install

The instructions were not correct. I did not need to remove the tow hook or drop the muffler. Four bolts and it was ready to go! So the install went even faster than they indicated.

Curt Hitch

The hitch arrived last Thursday, around 2 weeks after placing the order online. The hitch itself is fine. I tested the bike carriers and it's quite secure. Just hope that the installation instruction is more straight. It states 'you may need to lower the spare tire' and turns out you must, otherwise you cannot install it at all.
