The rubber strap portion on the latch is much thicker than OEM, I guess that makes it stronger. These fit up and look just like OEM. Happy with them and hope they last another 17 years like the OEM ones did.

Order these if you have 87 - 95 Wrangler and you want them to match up to factory OE. The size of the base plate as well as the catch for hood are precisely the same so your parts align. Kentrols will not do this for these model years. Also, the Crown's have a rubberized top handle just like the originals to prevent scratching the hood. Excellent product as dealers want $150 - $165 for a pair from parts dept and they are the same.

This was identical to the factory one that broke and 4 times less than the one at the Jeep dealer

I replaced my faded and crystalized hood catch with these. They look and function like a new factory catch. They took ten minutes to replace. I used the original flange nut on the lower portion stud because it has a larger flange diameter.

Fit perfect and looks great. Definitely spray the old nuts and bolts with WD-40 and let sit for quite a while.
