Reviews: Clover Patch Window Roll and Storage Bag - 10-ST-9704

We bought our first with our new (back then) 2004 Wrangler Unlimited LJ, and use this roll every summer just like the directions. For winter soft top storage we keep the felt roll flat on a makeshift shelf where the hardtop hangs all summer. This keeps the windows safe and avoids stuff getting stacked on top of them. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice simple solution to help keep your windows unscratched.

I bought this a month ago and so far I am very satisfied. It's a great idea for the issue of what to do with the windows once you've taken them out. The multiple layers of felt help protect each window from scratches and the roll is a great space saver. The only negative is what I saw in another comments about the straps that tie the roll to the back can come lose but that is remedied by knotting the excess strap. I have not had any problems reinstalling the windows, as someone else mentioned. I still love this product.

Prior to this I stored them in the back of the Jeep, laying flat on the floor. They became scratched, wore out before their time, and took up storage. Now, they roll up in soft felt, store in the sack, and strap up easily against the rear roll bars. The only problem I have is that the straps don't hold to the bar securely, after strapping to the bar I end up tying the strap up so that it doesn't work loose while driving down the highway. They need to work on this a bit more, maybe with a cam buckle instead of a snap-lock.

Great concept if you are tired of you windows getting scratched; however, the windows need to be washed before you put them in or you're going to end up w/ scratched windows anyway. Plastic clips that hold the bag to the roll cage break easily, but the straps are long enough that you can wrap it around the bar & tie it in a knot to hold it in place, or you can simply lay it across the deck under your soft top when the top is down.
