Good quality and very lightweight, stronger than a D Ring Shackle, impressive. Good to have a few of these in the recovery bag.

These Bubba Rope Gator-Jaw Nexgen Pro Synthetic Shackles are the best invention that has come along since synthetic recovery ropes and straps, and they are the ideal accessory for them. They make a good and easy connection to closed / "looped" vehicle tow-hooks, such as those used on my Ford Pick-Ups. They are superior to forged steel since they are lighter in weight and they don't have burrs on them as steel shackles often have, that can cut and weaken the connection between your tow-strap or recovery rope. I already had a pair of these shackles in my personal vehicle, and I bought this one as a gift for my son to pack in his Rubicon's Survival Kit.

Just saw them in use at Moab. Their awesome knew I had to get a couple.
