Reviews: BOLT Lock Hood Locks

Website is incorrectly saying that this Bolt Hood lock fits a 2018 Jeep JL, when it does not. It on fits JK models. Had to return, waste of time and money

Like the title says, this thing fits like it's an OEM part. Yeah, the 1/4 rivet gun is annoying, but they're $20 bucks on that famous online webstore. The rivets lock it in place nicely. It uses my Jeep key too! This is the ONLY hood lock to with. I had the tuffy version on my TJ and it was nowhere near this.

Great product. I had to buy a riveter, but still a great value. Big plus that replacement fasteners were included in the kit. Bigger plus I can use the ignition key!!

It didn't lock the hood latch down as tight as I would have liked. A determined thief can defeat anything but this will deter the quick theft of under the hood items. It is defiantly worth the $ to help keep your battery from getting stolen. Also extra security to keep the hood from flying up if latches should fail. It is very simple to install you just need to buy a heavy rivet gun. It is riveted down instead of being bolted on for security. It is worth the few extra dollars for this product vs. others for the benefit of using your existing key.

The need for a special tool (non-standard size riveter) has prevented me from doing this on my own! You should include bolts with nylon nuts when a riveter is not available for the back yard mechanic.
