Improved ride/steering over factory ride

Overall the install on the front took about 3 hours for both sides. It is a little harder to install on the passenger side due to the access of the top of the shock is blocked by the battery and power distribution panel. Anyone using this product will not be disappointed in the performance of the shock. My Jeep is up about 2.5" over factory and handles better than the stock ride.

Noticeable difference

I have a sport jk that had new rubicon oem takeoffs on a 3? teraflex lift and 34? bfgs. This was a big difference over stock. A year later after saving I replaced them w the bilsteins... even better. Combined with the new stabilizer the ride is so much better. Have not taken them off road yet so I cant comment on that yet. Definitely recommend

Better ride

Seriously reduced the 'jarring' feeling of the stock shocks! My Jeep has a 2.5" lift and extra weight from added Jeep Armor so I think the stock shocks were just overloaded.

Easy installation, great shocks

Used these to replace some worn out shocks that came with the Jeep (not original shocks). The installation of shocks in a Jeep is a pretty simple task normally and so was straight forward and simple. The new shocks did not make the job any easier or more difficult than it would have been with any brand. The stainless steel look that these have are awesome, much better than the old yellow color some of the Bilstein shocks have. The one thing that was different is that the rear shocks are mounted piston side down instead of reservoir down, but they look good and function great. The difference is that it's like driving a better than new Jeep, the difference is quite noticeable. Planning to hit Moab in the next 30 days so we'll see how they handle that environment but from what I've seen so far, I don't anticipate any issues. If you have a Rubicon, you need the gas pressurized shocks anyway, get these, you'll love them.

Shocks that really absorb

When I bought my new 2013 Jeep JK I put a small lift on it and new shocks to lengthen the travel, however the brand I chose gave my Jeep a harsh ride so I was under the assumption that I would just have to live with it. After talking with guys at 4 wheel parts he told me they used Bilstein 5100 series on their rides. I thought oh well why not if they are good enough for them then why not get them for my jeep to help soften the harshness of the ride. WOW I still can't get over how much better my Jeep rides and handles, hands down these will be the only shocks I use in any future vehicles. Great product and great service from 4 wheel parts. Thanks Mark

Perfect Choice

The Bilstein Company knows how to build a great shock. Highly recommend for any build project or just replacing stock.

Great shocks, terrible instructions

Bilsteins are great shocks but their instructions are garbage. After 20 minutes of trying to install the front shocks i realized there is an allen wrench nut spot so you can get the bolt to tighten. It would be nice if they included the allen wrench so you would get the idea

nice addition to my lift, more stability

the bilsteins look great, and add more stability to the ride.
