Reviews: Bestop Supertop with Clear Windows and Two-Piece Soft Doors (Black Denim) - 51597-15

I bought this top for a 1977 CJ5 that previously had a hrd top on it. I opted for the denim finish, which is just a pattern embossed on the top, but it looks very good. The top came with all the screws, nuts, washers, and even snaps for a tailgate, if you need them. The bows and body trim pieces had a nice black finish on them. The instructions were clear and easy to understand, but take your time when doing the installation. I had to loosen the top up when I was done in order to loosen and push the windshield frame forward a bit so the top of the door frames would fit properly. All in all, not too hard of a job and it looks Great!

The Bestop Supertop in black denim for the CJ 5 is the best top I have ever used on my Jeep. It allows you to take out the window and store them when not in use which adds to the life of the top. Also it uses durable heavy duty zippers that hold up over time. The weatherstrips on the door and the belt rail seal the top like no other CJ top can. I like the 01 vinyl because it cleans easily and stays looking great. The adjustable bow assembly makes putting it up and down easy and keeps the top nice and tight. I highly recommend this top.

The top is a great buy for a Jeep Cj5. It fits perfect and is easy to install with the proper knowledge and tools. It looks great on the jeep and has many great features like the two piece doors and zip out windows. It keeps rain out and makes the jeep a quieter ride. I get the most enjoyment out of the top on sunny days with the doors off and the windows out. The only con to this top is that during installation I didn't know you had to bend the doors where the top piece connects to get a proper fit between the door and the top.
