Reviews: Bestop Supertop NX Soft Tops

This top was a replacement for a Rampage Bowless Fastback. The bowless top was complete garbage which was why I was in the market for a new one. I chose the Supertop NX because it came with all the required equipment. I must say that I am really impressed with how easy it was to install and complete the kit came. I love the Spice color against my Green TJ and find the top to be a clear improvement over my last one. I cant say whether this top is better than my factory top as I have not had that one for close to 5 years. So far Ive noticed the interior cab space feels larger and rides much quieter than the Rampage Bowless top. I was a bit surprised at how dampened outside noise it. Another thing that really sold me was that the top while not assembled here in the U.S, is manufactured here in the U.S. This was important to me. If you're in the market for a replacement top this is the way to go. ALSO shipping literally took 24 hours get to my house. I ordered on Thursday around 1 and received the top Friday at 5. Amazing shipping time. I call and spoke with a guy named Devin Black. Super nice guy and helped me with everything. He even hooked me up with a Discount. If you are going to order, call them and speak with someone.

I have a 2007 Sahara and this product is perfect. Great fit and heavy duty. Don't dismiss the instruction that it takes 3-4 hours to install. I am extremely mechanical and did it by myself. It took 4 hours. Better done as a two man job. Only downside is that illustrations and directions are vague. If you aren't mechanical, ask someone to help you that is or you may get stuck. I would definitely recommend this and any other Best Top.

The top was easy to install; it took less than three hours to have the top completly installed. Great looking and high quality product; it was a worthwhile investment in my Jeep to replace the hard top option in the summer.

This top wasn't too bad to install, and all the parts seem to be really good quality. The final product looks great.

I bought this OEM style "NX" top based on what I feel is a better frame. I am not a big fan of the tube style surrounds and doors that just push against the top. The top is a little more work to put up and down, and you must have half doors, but I think it's worth it! This top is 100% waterproof even! Heck, even my hard top leaked a bit... But the doors stay put and do not flap in the wind like my old Half-cab top did, and the rain gutter is a very nice touch. I did trim that rain gutter down about a 1/6" because it was just too tight with the window to fit perfectly, but that was very simple to do! I also want to give 4WD and Bestop a big thumbs up too! My top came with a tiny hole in the top fabric. (This was due to UPS based on the box!) 4WD took care of this within 10 minutes of me dialing the phone! I did not have to box it up and return it, but Bestop drop shipped a new top fabric for free. (And while I understand this is not always the case, they did not request the old one returned!) But kudos to taking care of a customer in such a painless way!!!!

This top was a little tricky to install because you have to assembles the bows upside down. This could get a little confusing since the direction don't have very good illustrations. But with a little thinking it's not hard to figure out. you definitely need a second hand in assembling and securing the fabric. I would highly recommend laying the top in the sun for a couple hours while assembling the hardware so that it is more pliable when it comes time to put it on. once it's on it looks great. tinted windows are a huge plus. the quality of the fabric is great and durable. Zippers are a pain but its not gonna get any easier without sacrificing the workmanship and design. All-in-all... GREAT product. would recommend to anyone.

This is the top I have been waiting for.I got my 98 jeep 3yr. ago and it came with the hardtop.But I like the softtop.Aftermarked top don't look as good & don't work as well and buying a factory top from jeep was to pricey([$]).So hands down this is the best top for the money([$]).Don't forget about the up grades like the suner roof and all the others.Bottom line it was the best top for me.

This is really good quality top. It included all the screws and bolts required for assembly. The material is really close to the OEM material. All the bows and metal parts are powdercoated. The zippers are YKK which are made in the USA. The top is assembled in Mexico with US parts. I'm ok with that... [*]. The stitching is rugged... double stitched on end pieces. The flipback sun roof is a nice feature. The top being new is a really tight fit... my recomendation is to pick a hot day to do the install. They put quick disconnects on the ends of the bows which I really like. The heat sealing around the windows looks just like factory OEM. Thanks Bestop!The one thing I hope is that it loosens up a little bit. Especially to install the windows.

I purchased this kit to replace my hardtop in the summer. Contains everything. Install is about 3 hours. Just make sure to do it on a warm day to alow the fabric to stretch. I'd highly recommend this kit to anyone.

The top is better than I even expected. Extremely durable and easy to install. Comes with all hardware, even the extra bow to reduce the flapping that occurs above the driver and passenger. Definitely worth the money.

This is a great top. I bought one for a TJ i owned and am familiar with the quality from Bestop products. When the top for my 08 unlimited needed to be replaced I purchased the Bestop with out looking at anything else. Great fit and quality!! The CON: The instructions were the worst I have seen. I followed the instructions word for word. When I went to place on the jeep I had to undo everything and start over with the top over the top of the vehicle so I could see that everything fit the right way. If you need a replacement top, buy this one!!!!!!!

Nice top! Pretty easy to install. I like the tinted windows, it makes the Jeep look good. Easy to take on and off!!
