Reviews: Bestop Sunrider for Hardtops

I had a soft top for the past two years, and sold it to buy a hardtop because I wanted a quiet ride. I was skeptical about another soft top, but the sun rider is just as quiet as a hardtop. Install was super easy, took about 45 minutes by myself. I recently went on a weeklong four wheeling trip to Moab and it was great to be able to flip up the top for the nice days. I would highly recommend this product for someone who has a hard top but wants a soft top experience without having to remove the freedom panels on the trails.

I received this product prior to release to test it out and provide an unbiased review of it. It is really convenient for those that want to be topless all the time and have the security of a top. With this product you are able to go a short distance without worry about rain and storage. The freedom panels were always a hassle to store. With this top your able to unhook two levers and flip back and flip forward whenever you feel like it. Whether it is the highway, elements or security. Really great product and good quality.

I've had this on my todo list for a couple years. It wasn't until I moved to TX that i realized I waited to long. LOL Took under an hour to install, beautifully engineered, very smooth operation, very high quality. The "z" cable ends were replaced with wire connector style attachments, but easy enough to figure out and complete. Highly recommended.

This is a great top for my Gladiator. I was told the twill was the way to go, and I am very happy with it. It was very easy to install after the first step, which took a few extra minutes, but once that is done, you never have to do it again. It was connecting the base to the top. It fits perfectly and I haven't had a leak. It is SO easy to open and close. Way better than having to take the panels off each time and put them somewhere. I should have bought one earlier.

Great product! Easy install on my 2021 Bronco. Clear direction provided. Since I've never had a soft top, I was concerned about it possibly leaking. No need. Absolutely water tight.

The z-clips take some patience, but otherwise fairly easy install by one person. This is the second Sunrider we’ve purchased and installed on our own. We love it on our new Gladiator Mojave.

Easy to install. Love it so far. Simple to unlatch and flip back. More noise than freedom panels, but manageable.

This made all the difference to the ease of popping the top in seconds without have to store bulky panels. Surprisingly quiet and water tight.

Was supposed to be a 30 minute job Ha! But I did it!! 1 hour and 30 minutes later! I was sunning!! I'd give it 3 of 5 screwdrivers:) Very easy to use! Has not leaked at all, not even in the drive-thru carwash. Beats taking those heavy tops off and praying for no rain in the middle of my trip! No flapping noise are anything when driving. The customer service was 2nd to none when I went to the store to retrieve my order. Has a great warranty, about the same cost for the service department to put the top on, I opted to follow Bestop YouTube instructions, very easy to follow along, and sprung for the warranty! Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase! My Jeep looks great with the Bestop Sunrider!

Pretty easy to install once you figure it out. Getting the wire into the channel properly was a bit of figuring out the first time. Only complaint is that when we washed the Jeep, there seemed to be a leak. Doesn't leak when it rains, so most likely from something coming at an odd angle. Really should be better sealed.

Great Mod for the JK took me just about an 1hr to install...

Perfect for quick and super easy access to having freedom top area open. When closed its weather tight and can open from a quick stop from driver seat. Does have a flapping noise when open on the highway. Maybe adding a large clip on fabric may help. Otherwise very satisfied and is as expected.

Gives me the best of both worlds. Hard top for my kayak racks. Soft top for top down time. Suggest using you tube videos for install tips. Not terrible but there are some tricks. Some added road noise to be expected from soft top. So far no water leakage issues.
