Extra tools needed! Channel lock pliers to remove old nuckles. Mallet to install new nuckles. (Align with channel lock pliers) Drill w/small bit for scew guide hole in new nuckle. Believe me..... You' ll need these!

These are a great product to add to your soft top. These new bow knuckles allow you to use your soft top in a manner that is easier than "stock" bow knuckles. They are easy to install and add flexibility to the function of your soft top. The only issue that I had is with the hardware that was supplied with the new bow knuckles. I did not use the supplied screws and opted for 1/4 self tapping screws instead. The ease of install was greatly improved by doing that step.

Love this quick release bow! Save me several minutes trying to remove my top but might have to drill holes though to get it perfect when you try to screw it in..

I am happy with this product. the only thing is i had to drill a pilot hole before screwing in the set screws.

These bow knuckles are great. Instructions will tell you all that is needed for installation is a phillips screwdriver. This is false. I recently installed these on my 2005 TJ. The old knuckles pulled right out. I required a mallet to pound the new knuckles into the bows. You will want to line up the positioning of the knuckle before you pound it into the bow. It's a very snug fit and not very easy to rotate. This is good because once all four knuckles are installed, just reattach the connection points to make sure everything lines up. Now you will need a power drill. The new screws included are not self tapping as described. There is no good way to install the sheet metal screws included into the hardened plastic with a screwdriver as depicted in the enclosed instructions. Simply drill a guide hole into the knuckle and drive the screws in with a phillips bit. Install is a breeze if you use a mallet and a drill. I could see someone having a very difficult time if they enter this project armed only with a phillips screwdriver. Install took me 10 minutes.
