Installed this TBS as part of the engine swap from my tired out 4.0L to the Golen Stroker 4.6. Obviously I didn't try this in my previous engine. Given the stroker upgrade and the other modifications, I can say that without a doubt the performance has drastically improved. Chad Golen recommended this as part of the install.

There's a HUGE difference between the stock TB and the BBK. The BBk drops right in after swapping over the sensors. I installed this at the same time with a AEM short ram air intake. Throttle response is immediate, you can feel the difference. I would recommend this to anyone who's considering replacing their stock unit for the BBK. You won't go wrong.

Even though it is for the 4.0L I installed it on my 2.5 for added performance. It was an easy install, works great, and there is a noticeable improvement. I would recommend this to anyone.

Delivers more power gains than I expected. I have a 4.6 liter Golen stroker motor in my 1998 TJ. Noticeable increase in power. Where I used to use 4th gear I now can use 5th. With a nine inch lift, expedition roof rack, a ton of camping gear and 37" tires that extra punch will make my freeway driving from Wisconsin to Moab each year a lot easier. Should be a bear off-road, too. I'm pulling about 290 horsepower from what once was a limp 4.0. Price was great, also.

Putting this TB on was a breeze. 25 minutes total time, with cleaning the spacer I had on the XJ already. Noticeable HP gain, Accel. time, and Torque, even with the wrong gears(new axles soon to be on the way with 456 gears and arb lockers from 4WP). This is a must for anyone planning on doing a 4.7/4.9 stroker motor, which is on the way, or if you need a little more power for your EVD, or trail rig. everything we expected, and would use this TB again, no 2nd thoughts.
