Reviews: Banks Power Ram Air Intake System - 41816

My only negative is that you can smell the plastic getting warm for the first few days and my entire engine compartment seems to be warmer, but not reading hot on the gauges, than with the stock intake.

Very easy to install, maybe took 30 minutes by myself. I notice an increase in power right away.

I noticed an immediate difference in the throttle response and the power gains. The only question I had; "Why didn't I do this sooner?". I also added a PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer. The new Banks Intake allows so much more air to enter, it is amazing. Do not wait any longer to buy one of these! Installation was easy too.

Easy to install, instructions were easy to understand, didn't need many tools to install, all in all great product. Performance:Just a little improvement by driving the Jeep and listening to the Jeep. Maybe if I had a way to test the Jeep on a computer I could tell ya numbers! Feels/Sounds way different then the "bad" factory air intake!

This CAI system was defiantly worth the money. One of the better products on the market.

Super easy to install! I'm not mechanically inclined at all and I installed the Banks RamAir Intake in 45min. I definitely noticed a power increase and throttle response. I'm still testing gain in MPG. Also installed Banks Monster Exhaust and an Airaid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer. I think the combination of all 3 is perfect to gain power, MPG, torque, throttle response and a great sound!

This system was extremely easy to install. I installed this with the Banks Monster Exhaust. I went from 12.1 mpg to 14.6 mpg on an '06 Wrangler Unlimited with 35" tires. I can't feel much improvement to HP on the top end but low end response is greatly improved.

Extremely easy install. My friend and I got it put on in about 20-30 mins. Spent more time looking for sockets than getting the intake on the jeep. Haven't had in on the jeep long enough for a full MPG comparison but i do notice better gas milage.

Fast Shipping Easy Install- fit was great, no tweaking needed. Power Increase you can feel on first drive. City mileage increased on first tankful. Havent tested highway yet. Biggest problem was where to put the decals :)

I installed this intake within 30 minutes or so. Very easy to do. I was shocked at the size difference between the stock/Banks intake. This is my first and only mod at this point. Everything is factory on my 02 Wranlger Sport. Great choice. My wife noted that the Jeep drives easier and very smooth. She didn't notice any sound change. I recognized the ease in driving as well. I attribute this to the engine not suffocating any longer. Now, there is a definite gain on giddy-up and there is a noise when you floor it. It is a very pleasant growl. I have yet to hear any "sucking" noises as other intakes are known for...just power and effeciency. Lastly, I have read claims of 4MPG gains...I will be measuring that and expect to see a gain in the next few tanks. The engine is more effecient, but I am having too much fun with the growl and pick-up.

This intake is top quality very nice product. The install was very straight forward and simple. It isnt really loud but gives a nice sound when you get into it. You can definatly feel the increase in power and after a week or so of enjoying the extra power I noticed almost 4-5 mpg gains. I also installed a airaid 1" throttle body space at the same time. The problem was with the spacer on the hood would not shut. I had to cut 1/2"-5/8" off the intake tube where it met the TB and buy a new bigger hose clamp to fit but thats the only problem. It wasnt a hard fix it just would have been nice to have that in the product description. Thanks to Banks for a great product and 4 wheel drive hardware for great service, got the parts in 3 days after orderin. Jeremy 99 TJ

06 LJ Unlimited Rubi. Haven't had time to get actual mileage, but my wife says she loves the sound when she gets into it, can't go wrong there?

had initial problems with shipment to PR although the site said the shipment would be free got charged $90.00. but once recieved the instalation was smooth and easy with all the instructions included on the package. took only 30min to install and was missing a screw which was easy to replace. all in all will recomend to anyone.
