Reviews: ARB Touring Awning Rooms

Bought this to pair with my ARB awning. Only used once, and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to install it. There are basically 3 zippered sides…two netted, one not. The one not netted goes against the vehicle. Mine is used with my teardrop camper. Worked perfectly and kept the mosquitoes out. The clear insert in the ceiling to allow the awning light to come thru was well thought out. Seems sturdy, though my test run has no wind to test it.

So I'm pretty familiar with ARB products, but I've never used their awnings or awning-rooms before. I can say that the 2 stand up to the quality standard that ARB is world renowned for. The Awning room is the perfect size for a queen size air mattress, and has doubled the sleeping capacity of our camp van. Its also perfect for escaping the light rain with the tarp floor rising up around 6" on all sides. This coupled with the awning roof meant that everything inside our little space stayed nice and dry. Its also nice to fold up the rain flaps so we can just have the mesh covering the sides and alow a nice country breeze to pass through our vehicle-camproom. While you could fold 2/4 sides up completely, the mesh is particularly nice for keeping bugs out. My only complaint is that the tent is pretty large, this means that in colder climate it will be challenging to keep the space warm, however if you're clever with a space heater and venting, you'll likely be just fine. 10/10 would recommend for those wanting to expand their already nice camp rig into a larger footprint.

the Awning room is fantastic. I have a nice summer screen room attached to my truck, and spacious enough for 3 adults to sleep comfortably. I purchased the 2000 x 2500 room.
