These are beautifully crafted springs. They fit the control arm spring pockets perfectly. The advertised height increase over OEM is 1.5", but in my case it looks like it's going to be as much as 3" because the original springs have over 250K miles on them.
Raised my 4runner back to stock, they are a bit stiffer than stock so youll need a coil compressor.
So far so good, fits nicely and install was brief.
I’ve always been dissatisfied with way the rear end of my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder sags and bottoms out. I recently decided to use my Pathfinder as a tow vehicle for my side by side and in its current condition, I knew it couldn’t handle the weight. I finally decided to try Old Man Emu/ARB springs in place of the OEM springs. I also added new shocks to handle the extra ride height. Supposed to be 3/4” but it’s more like 2”. I’ll cut to the chase; they work great! The unladen ride height is definitely nose down/butt up. But the ride and handling is much better than before. When I put the trailer on the Pathfinder, it settled a little. With the Honda Pioneer 1000-5 on it, it’s level! No sag at all. Couldn’t be happier.
Great product. 42 minutes total time to install both springs. Nice ride. A bit firmer than the 2863’s which were previously in my rig. I have steel bumpers front & rear, a 10,000lb winch, roof rack with RTT, and a Trekbox drawer system. Will be towing a trailer from Arizona to Alaska and back. Should work great.
These worked great on my stock height ZJ. They resulted in a slight 1.5” or so lift, but my stock springs were shot and I previously had only about 1” off the bump stops. So, probably realistically more like an inch of lift over OEM. I tested them in a spring rate tester before installing, and they were about 158/inch, and about 740lbs total at ride height. Stock is supposed to be around 147lbs/inch. My worn out springs were about 120lbs/inch, and I was constantly on the bump stops.
Great springs for someone who Carrie’s a lot of weight but doesn’t want to lift their runner much.
Will fit in 3rd gen 4Runner but not an exact fit. Works well with no sag since settle.
Fit my 89 Raider and gave a lift to the rear. Easy enough to install yourself if you have moderate skill with mechanics.
Changed my ride for the better. Best spring for comfort and handling turns. One happy customer!
Got to me quickly and were packaged well. Gave me the lift I needed on the rear of my 1995 4RUNNER.
Love them so far! I have them on my 02 liberty paired with Bilstein 5100s and boy they are just at the stiffness I wanted them. I threw the factory springs away. Very recommended. You will feel jumpy over bumps but overall I’m not afraid of dips or anytging
Good product, raised my 1998 4runner about 2.75 inches. Would recommend the heavier load springs however if you plan on loading any decent trunk full of gear
Got a 2in+ lift on 2002 isuzu axiom works great but my shocks were not long enogh. The ride stayed comfortable considering the are beefier springs.
