Reviews: AMP-Research PowerStep with Plug-N-Play (Black) - 76240-01A

I purchased these for my new 2023 RAM 1500 truck. It took my sons and I about 2 hours to install. The instructions are a bit on the weak side, but there are some youtube videos which were helpful. The power steps look great on my truck; they are smooth, quiet, and give my truck an upgraded look. Overall I'm highly satisfied with my purchase.

Waited to do a review for a few weeks to give me a chance to use the product. They are awesome and worth every penny. I ordered them online through the 4WP website, had them delivered two days later, and installed by 4WP the following week. Professional, clean installation and completed within the 4 hour time frame I was quoted.

I was pleasantly surprised that each side lowers independently.

Great product easy install. Took about 3.5 hours from start to finish.

Love this AMP Research PowerStep. Works great and drops down to the perfect height for stepping up into my truck! Hydraulic action activated by doors is the only way to go!

I love these steps! Makes the truck look taller when retracted while very functional!

Awesome wide anti-slip step is there when you need and tucked out of sight when not in use.

Steps work perfectly and they installed them in less time than I I thought they would.

I purchased these on Monday and they came in Friday. They would have been here Thursday, but R+L Carriers dropped the ball and they could not figure out how to drive to my address. Other than that I had only one issue when installing these on my 2019 Ram new body style. The 2 pin OBD plug does not plug in the way it shows in the instructions. The dash side panel does not come off like on the many previous models. On mine, to find the green port this plug goes into, remove the knee blocker panel, look to the left, and closer to the dash, and there will be several ports there. After that, I seriously thought both sides were going to nail both of the vibration dampers, but they both missed by like 1/4 of an inch! BTW. I was just about to get the XL version...DON'T! Not unless you plan on lifting your truck in which case yes, go that route. These come way down and lower than many others I have checked. And the step is a bit wider than some others too.

Yha Amp step kit is awesome. Easy to install and everything needed is there. You will need to trim steps if you have a Quad cab ram. Easy install in 1 hour. Look and work great, very happy.
