Looks great, quick to lower, gives a nice step up into the truck

Love the steps! The old tube-style I had before were rusting and slippery. These give me about 3 more inches, and better than buying a new truck!

I used to have the GM OEM chrome running boards on my truck. While they were great boards, I got tired of the chrome and the way the boards made my truck look lower to the ground. I got rid of the chrome boards and aluminum wheels and went with black wheels and these great AMP PowerStep boards. Installation was a bit of a pain (instruction say to torque certain parts at, say, step no. 3 and then on step no. 7 they say to install the boards to the bracket but you have to then loosen what you've already torqued to get the boards on). The aluminum threads cross-thread very easily so you have to be very carefull when fastening the boards to the brackets. But once the boards are attached, they fit together supurbly and look absolutely stealty when stowed. The fit and finish, function, and usablity of the boards is excellent. The step is nice and wide and very high grip. And the final plus of the kit is that it comes with a light kit! So dont buy a separate light kit like I did. ;) The wiring was a little bit tricky but I got lucky and was able to tap into the wires at the kick panel and at the wire junction on both sides of the truck. As a note, look for the wires in the bundle further back towards the piller behind the front seats. And the green wire with a black stripe on the passenger side is the light green wire with black stripe - it does not match the color of the AMP wire harness (although the driver side colors do match.) No complaints. Very satisfied.

Great product. Don’t expect a whisper quiet design. They do what they are advertised to do and I really needed them for my knees and the vertically challenged people in my life. Oakland 4 Wheel Parts did a great install with prompt delivery. Thanks again for everything.
