Works Great, Love the Sound!

I just installed this Airaid intake on my 2010 four-door JK and was very pleased overall. The cold air intake included absolutely everything I needed for installation, right down to every nut and bolt partitioned in the hardware bag according to each step, which I thought was a nice touch. The provided metal panels replace the stock intake box and do a good job keeping the filter isolated from the hot engine compartment while having plenty of openings to let cold air from the outside in to the filter. Now as for the filter, I was torn between doing their oiled "SynthaFlow" or their non-oiled "SynthaMax." In the end I chose the dry filter because I mostly drive around town and didn't want the hassle of oiling the filter. It seems to be great so far. Overall I'm really impressed with the more aggressive sound and there's a noticeable increase in power down low, which is where these engines desperately need help! I've had several other brands of cold air intakes in the past, but this is my first Airaid system. It won't be my last!

Suprised

Purchased this from the 4 Wheel Parts in Coppell Texas over the weekend and installed it the next day. Installation was pretty quick and easy (except for getting the temp sensor out of the stock intake hose). Total time for install was less than one hour. Could really tell a difference in acceleration from a stopped position as well as acceleration while passing on the freeway. Nice throaty tone while accelerating as well, but not over the top. Very happy with the gain in lost power from adding the 4 inch lift and 35 inch tires!

Wakes Up a Sleepy Engine

The AIRAID Cold Air Intake for the 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler is one of the best bang-for-the-buck intakes on the market. It has a sealed intake box, meaning the intake box has a lid to help protect the intake from water and debris during deep water crossings. It utilizes the factory cold air scoop, which is well protected, and this feature also makes the intake compatible with most aftermarket snorkel systems. Inside the box is a massive cone-style filter, which is much larger than the stock paper filter and flows way better. This kit has the SynthaFlow oiled filter, but there's also a 311-208 non-oiled filter option available. This kit definitely picks up power lost from installing bigger tires and adds a nice growl when you step on it. Let's face it, these JK engines need all the help they can get, and the AIRAID kit really helps out!

Breaths better

This cold air intake installed very easily, it's a solid construction and my jeep feels like it woke up after this, it was a nice addition with an exhaust. The only thing I noticed was the hood insulation sits on the rubber gasket, doesn't seem to be a problem and makes a good seal.

Awesome Intake

This intake is awesome and easy to install. It definitely improves low end torque and high end horsepower. I also installed the Airaid throttle body spacer and that is awesome too. Gas mileage instantly increased 2-3mpg. It just sounds so mean, like there is a supercharger in there now. Definitely recommend this to any Jeep enthusiast thats looking to get a little more bang for your buck. Very happy that I chose this one and i did a lot of research before i finally decided to get it.

GROWL!!!

I installed this to add some extra power after adding 35" tires to my jeep. After doing so I can feel the difference. This intake on my jeep adds a very nice growl under load but is quiet when just moving along at a normal pace. I would for sure tell anyone who has a JK to get one and that you will be happy with the purchase for sure.

GOOD INVESTMENT

I just put my intake on my 09 JK unlimited and man can you feel the difference! It was very easy to hook up and quick. I did it in less then 2 beer cans! I been waiting to get my intake for the longest time. Sounds beast like to when you floor it! Now I can't wait till I get my BORLA exhaust to top it all off.

Sounds good, improves throttle response

Solid product, good construction. Noticeable difference when hitting the gas at passing speeds (50-70 mph). Little cabin drone when cruising.

Installation tip

Great product, I used it in conjuction with the aFe throttle spacer. Nice growl above 1800-2000 rpm. More throttle response and torque. IMPORTANT: I almost busted the temperature sensor while removing it from the factory hose, even though I was very careful and followed directions. So I did this: Before you attempt to remove it, first remove the air intake hose from the throttle body. Pull the hose toward you a little bit,(it's rubber it will bend easily) without straining the wires too much, look inside where the sensor protrudes into the hose, and spray a very small bit of either WD-40 or white lithium grease where the plastic flange on the sensor touches the rubber grommett. This will make it very easy to pull out while twisting
