Easy Upgrade

This classic Airaid design is a proven performer that does the job and does it well. The system is simple and effective: replace the restrictive stock stuff with an open element cone filter and a polished intake tube. The installation is really easy, and when combined with an exhaust and a chip, it makes a huge difference! More power and better mileage...hard to beat that!

Classic Intake with Classic Performance

This kit is what put AIRAID on the map years ago. The factory air cleaner on TBI Chevys are horrible, and this kit makes a dramatic improvement in power and overall performance. The cold air intake itself is fairly simple, with a hat that fits on the throttle body, a polished intake tube, a cone filter, and some support brackets. Even though it's pretty simple, it makes a big difference. This kit also works well with a lot of engine swaps, since it's fairly self contained and doesn't rely on a fender-mounted airbox. This kit includes an oiled filter, but there's also a part number that includes a dry filter (201-104). It's even 50-state legal!

Breathing is Good, Airaid is better

This replaced a old choke in the snorkel air cleaner, instantly I could feel more power. Jeep has Chevy 355 TBI Calif. legal

Definitely worth the $

Definitely worth the money. I combined this with the fitch fuel catalyst system, a msd ignition control, a dynomax cat back exhaust and i went from 9 mpg to 14-15 mpg in my 1999 dodge ram 1500 5.2L truck.

Great Modification

Installed on a 1993 GMC Sierra K1500 4.3L, 5-speed, with only 57K miles. Could feel an immediate difference in the pulling power. Gas mileage, at least during the first tank, seems to be substantially improved! I've only used 1/4 tank for 240 miles. GM gas guages are notorious for inaccuracy, so we'll see the real improvement, and I'll report. Only one gripe: Installation was easy, as expected, ecept for ONE glitch. The bracket that holds the intake tube attaches between the dipstock bracket and the cylinder head - well, the holes did not line up at all. I spent quite a bit of time drilling that hole out to get it to line up and the bolt to thread back in. Also, at first it whined quite a bit, but within about a week, the whine seems to be gone. You know it's there, and it really seems to open things up above 2000 to 2500 RPM!

Classically Easy Installation

This was an easy installation. The only difficulty was forcing the housing under the wire loom. This prevented using the wing nut. So far I have noticed a much smoother running engine and better acceleration - the juries still out on gas mileage. Durability remains to be seen as the previous housing from 'Brand K' failed.

Really like the Airaid

Still haven't seen the improvement on local driving yet.
