Reviews: AIRAID Air Intake Systems

I bought this kit and had my local 4WD store install it for me. This kit noticeably boosts my already spunky 2012's PentaStar engine performance so much that I just may end up with a speeding ticket! It gives the engine a little more 'throaty' sound to it, as well.

I chose this intake over the others because it has a protected box for the filter rather than other styles that have the open filter box; I play around in mud from time to time so the sealed box seemed like a good idea. The new box uses the cold air inlet duct from the factory box. There's a new intake tube and a really big filter included with the kit. I was really impressed with the materials and how well everything fit, and it definitely helped wake up the engine, especially in the midrange. I even picked up a little gas mileage! Overall this was a great addition to my Jeep and helped get back some of the power I lost when I went to bigger tires?.it's a whole lot cheaper than re-gearing!

Looks great, seems to have improved fuel mileage on my ‘18 Sierra 2500HD. I do not really notice any increased noise.

I accidentally ordered the wrong part, but I wish it had fit my truck because I opened the box and it was really nice. Leaving a review because ordering and returning was super easy. Ordered online, picked up from the Russell Road store, and brought it back a few weeks later with no issues. Just brought it in and they gave me a return receipt and the money was back on my card the same day even though I used PayPal. Would definitely order from these guys again.

Easy to follow instructions, all holes lined up perfect. Took about an hour or so assemble and install. No complaints

Running the stock air box with a snorkel was like breathing through a straw. The AIRAID MXP mounted up perfectly with the snorkel and allows me to keep the access panel off the air box when I'm driving around town giving me more power and better fuel mileage, then I pop the panel back on when I am hitting the trails. It was the only intake system I could find out there that did everything I wanted it to.

Really easy to install with basic tools. Immediate change in pickup. Seems to have brought acceleration back to where it was before I lifted my JK and put 35's on. If I had to find any negative on his product it's that I have to watch when accelerating and really getting on it (like getting on the highway), because the RPM's get close to redlining fast! Other than that, totally recommend this. Worth the money in my book.

Poorly packaged. Was afraid parts were missing, but was not the case. Instructions and pictures were not as clear as they could have been, but installation was still pretty straight forward. Have not pulled my boat yet, but am expecting better performance and fuel mileage with kit installed.

I do a lot of long-distance towing and I wanted something that would improve performance and hold up to high-mileage use. The Airaid cold air intake did not disappoint. This is a complete intake system that replaces everything from the engine to the fenderwell. The new air box fit perfectly in the stock location, and the rest of the parts simply dropped into place. The filter itself is enormous, perfect for feeding the Cummins. I definitely noticed a difference, especially in the hills when towing, where the truck seems to be able to hold a gear longer. Also EGTs have dropped a little, too. There was even a slight improvement in MPG, even when towing, which was an added bonus. This is one modification that has definitely been able to keep up for the long haul.

There are a lot of intakes out there for these trucks, but I went with Airaid after reading other reviews and could not be happier! This intake includes everything needed for installation, and the instructions were great; installation took me about an hour. The new air box keeps the filter isolated from engine compartment air while adding several places for cool outside air to come in. The filter itself is massive and should be more than enough to feed the Duramax engine. I noticed slightly lower EGTs after installation and it seems to be able to hold gears longer on grades when towing. If you're in the market for a cold air intake, I'd definitely recommend this one over any of the others out there.

Big gas engines in big, heavy trucks need all the help they can get, and this cold air intake system is just what's needed on heavy Chevys. This intake kit uses the same airbox and filter as the company's diesel applications, so it's overkill for a 6.0L, and that's a good thing! The replacement air box adds a couple of cold air inlets and accommodates an enormous air filter, all of which supplies plenty of cool air to the engine. The new intake tube fits perfectly and includes everything to accept the factory sensors and fittings. Installation was really simple and no tuning was required at all. It made a big difference, especially when towing, and I picked up a little mileage both loaded and unloaded. This system is perfect for heavy haulers!

This was a great addition to my truck. The stock intake system was obviously restrictive and installing this cold air intake gave my truck a noticeable improvement. It bolts on and includes everything needed for installation, which was also really easy. Part throttle response was better and I love the growl when you really stand on it!

This system was definitely built with off-roaders in mind. Most other kits out there are an open-element style system that leaves the filter heavily exposed to potentially ingesting water during deep water crossings. The AIRAID Cold Air Intake utilizes the factory cold air inlet in the fender, so it stays well protected. The new intake box is larger than the original and includes a metal lid for accessing the filter for service. The new intake tube dwarfs the original, as does the filter itself. Overall this is a very nice intake kit built with off-roading in mind.

The AIRAID MXP Cold Air Intake for the 11-13 Ford Super Duty trucks is quite simply one of the best on the market. It looks great under the hood, but better yet, it performs even better. I definitely noticed an improvement in power, and it sounds awesome when you really get on it. Installation is about a two beverage job and everything fit exactly as it should. I added a chip to the truck a few months ago that allows me to monitor EGTs, and I noticed s slight drop in EGT temps, even more when towing my travel trailer. The filter on this kit is huge, and I opted to get the oiled filter, but this intake is also available with a dry filter. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this AIRAID intake and would recommend it to anyone.

The Airaid Cold Air Intake system for late-model Chevy and GM trucks and SUVs is one of the nicest available on the market today. Designed to be a true bolt-in system, the overall fit and finish is second to none and exactly what you'd expect from a quality company that builds their parts in the USA. The MXP system consists of a complete replacement airbox that utilizes factory cold air inlets while adding a couple more. There's also a new intake tube that further optimizes airflow. The filter itself is enormous! The kit definitely picked up some power and it has a healthy growl when you get on it. In In my opinion, this intake kit is the most feature-packed you can buy at a reasonable price.

The 6.7L Cummins is one of the best engines you can get in a truck, yet AIRAID figured out how to make it even better. According to AIRAID, this cold air intake produces an additional 18 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque, but honestly I think that's conservative. It has a new intake box with great big cold air ducts, a huge filter, and a massive intake tube that's obviously designed to provide better airflow and maybe even support other modifications, yet it works right out of the box with no tuning needed. Couple this intake with a performance chip and an exhaust system, and you'll have a whole new truck! After installing this intake, I even noticed that EGTs were a little lower when pulling my big camper. I prefer the SynthaFlow oiled filter in this kit, but there's also a kit with a SynthaMax non-oiled filter if you prefer using a dry filter. Overall, this system is worth every penny.

This is simply THE cold air intake to have for the Nissan Titan. If you cruise around the Titan forums, you'll see that most people will agree. The Airaid system includes a replacement air box that utilizes the factory cold air inlet ducts while making more room for an enormous filter. The intake tube is also oversize, which is great for supporting future modifications, yet it works with the factory tuning; no check engine lights or problems, simply more power on tap. The gains are also throughout the entire rpm range, not just up high like a lot of the others. Installing the kit is really easy and requires only simple hand tools and about 30 minutes of your time. This particular system includes the SynthaFlow oiled filter, but there's also the SynthaMax non-oiled filter available for those that prefer running a dry filter. Best of all, everything is made in the USA and it shows; the quality of the components used is among the best you will find. Great look, great power, and better fuel mileage to boot!
