This package is a great deal! You can't go wrong with the cobra and firestick combo. I put mine overhead in my 2003 2500 HD without customizing a support. If you want to take full advantage of this unit get a PA horn.

I bought this kit for my first CB/installation. The head unit (radio) comes with an inline fuse wired in, with terminals already spliced on the power cables. I had to replace the mounting hardware with self tapping screws because I couldn't get them to bite properly. Other than that, the mount allows you to put the radio pretty much anywhere in the cab. The 18' Coax is durable, and fits almost perfectly in a Wrangler when the radio is mounted forward and the antenna is mounted on the rear. The antenna mount really is universal. You can place it wherever you choose. The antenna is of great quality, though I would prefer a "screw to tune" Firestik II, instead of the "cut to tune" Firestik antenna provided. 4 out of 5 because of the lousy stock hardware, and the fact that a Firestik II would be a little nicer.

Installed in my jeep. Power wires were short so I had to lengthen them about 2 ft.

Great kit, but...I needed a way to mount the antenna and then test it. I found the Terra Flex mount that attaches at the spare tire for my Jeep JKU. So it isn't quite a complete kit in my opinion. But the radio works great. I also found a universal dash mount that allowed me to attach the radio mic to the center console/dash without drilling into my dash. You will also need an SWR meter to test it after you finish the install. $25 and easy to do.

Must have for on the trail operations or everyday driving. This kit provides anyone basic connectivity with the CB world. Obviously you would need a bracket for the antenna for what ever application you are mounting the antenna on, but it is a one stop purchase with the CB, Co-Ax, and Antenna!

The description for this kit is wrong. The radio does not have the 10 NOAA weather channels as described. It also does not have auto scan. It is just a plain and simple radio. The tips on the wire that came with it were melted so I had to pick up a new one. 4WP did credit back the cost of the one included so that was good. I would have rather just picked up the components seperately. I installed with the overhead Valco easy mount and ran the wires behind the trim around the windshield. It was installed in about 45 minutes and after tuning the antenna, it works great.
