I bought mine Used at a pawn shop Was a little war out From Hardcore you off road Call the company To purchase replacement bushings And pens I was able to fix it back to New With just a few bucks Very impressed 37 in Super Swamper And did some modifications Of welding A custom-built ladder Very pleased with product!!

I bought six tires for my pickup, in anticipation of driving backroads in eastern Oregon, where roads are often rough. I can carry one spare in the spare carrier under the bed, but what todo with the second one ? Takes up too much space in the bed, don't want it in the rear seat. So I bought this Hitchgate MAX and had it instaqlled. Fits my stock 2015 Nissan Titan Pro-4X correctly. Very sturdy, very nice looking, and the swing out feature works well, very smooth. I bought the MAX version for overkill on max weight-carrying capacity, thinking that will help handle rough road bounces. Got the license plate bracket and light kit as well. I can't at this early date speak to durability, but everything I can tell about it right now is dandy.

Magnificently engineered to last and look awesome! Something i didn't think about is the fact that this carrier swings to the right side of vehicle, placing me on the protected side of the vehicle in case i am stranded with a flat. Little sense of safety to consider. I get tons of compliments on it and i can't recommend it enough.

First things first, the instructions that it comes with are atrocious. Two photos in the entire packet of papers and both of them are of it fully assembled. There are also steps that are not required during assembly, also what seems like they changed hardware, but didn't update the instructions. If you have any mechanical experience, it won't be difficult to figure it out. I wouldn't say I'm a pro, but I've done some things here and there. I did have to look up a photo of a certain angle online to figure it out. With that said, installation took just over an hour including unpacking everything. Once fully installed, it is amazing. I absolutely love it. It fits great, looks great, and does exactly what I need it to - hold my spare tire that is too big to fit under my truck or in the bed. I will note that my tire, 35x12.5 on 17s, was a tad difficult to get to sit on the small wheel bracket supplied. It's doing the job though. I think if the bracket was about 1-2" longer it would be perfect.
