Discount Tires

Most truck owners don’t want discount tires. What they really want is a high-performance tire at a discount price. Fortunately, this is a reasonable goal. The tire industry is competitive enough that consumers have their choice of affordable, high-performing options in several tire categories.

So before you start searching for discount tires specifically, spend some time clarifying how you want your truck tires to perform. Popular truck tire categories include all-season tires, all-terrain tires, and specialized off-road tires. Each of these behaves differently on the road and off.

All-season truck tires: Choose all-season tires when your truck is only driven on the road, but in varied climate conditions. Discount and premium all-season tires aren’t made for off-road driving, but they do perform well on wet pavement and will provide many miles of service.

All-terrain truck tires: All-terrain tires perform well on the street and can handle moderate off-road driving. A good set of all-terrains blends the best characteristics of street tires and off-road tires. They won’t be as tough as dedicated off-road tires, but they will get you to work and back without excessive road noise or uneven tread wear.

Specialized off-road tires: Some manufacturers produce tires designed strictly for rock crawling, off-road racing, sand or swamp performance, and other specialized applications. These tires will perform well in their designated application, but street driving might be loud, bumpy, or fuel inefficient.

Once you select a type of tires, you can then narrow your search to discount tires within that specific category.

Discount truck tires by type

All-season tires:

4 Wheel Parts carries all-season truck tires from reputable manufacturers, including BFGoodrich and Michelin. The BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All Season tire, for example, is a 50,000-mile tire that drives well on the road and provides effective traction on light snow. Another choice is the HydroEdge tire by Michelin. These tires offer long-wear tread, plus fuel efficiency and superior braking performance on wet surfaces.

Discount all-terrain tires

All-terrain truck tires are popular, and for good reason. They’re versatile enough to handle recreational off-roading plus daily street driving. All-terrain options from Pro Comp, BFGoodrich, General Tire, Toyo, Nitto, and Goodyear include:

  • Pro Comp Radial All Terrain
  • BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO
  • Super Swamper Vortrac Radial
  • General Tires Grabber ATS 200s
  • Toyo Open Country AT
  • Nitto Terra Grapplers
  • Goodyear Wrangler MTRs with Kevlar

Discount off-road tires

Off-road tires deliver extreme traction performance, but they may be less effective in terms of highway comfort. If you are heavily involved in off-roading, you’ll accept that trade-off so you can venture into new terrain without worry. Affordable off-road tires include Pro Comp Mud Terrains, BFGoodrich Krawler T/As, and Goodyear DuraTracs.

Whatever type of tire you need, 4 Wheel Parts can help you find it — at a price you can afford.
