The Legendary Baja 1000 Presented by 4WP has Arrived

Baja 1000 is here and this year we’re heading all the way down to La Paz!

“The Baja 1000 is by far, the most important race event in our sport. Every year thousands of teams, racers, and fans, along with industry & race personnel from SCORE, make the journey to Baja California in Mexico to organize and compete in this legendary race event. 4 Wheel Parts (4WP) understands the impact this race has both on our industry and culture and as fans and racers ourselves, it truly is an honor to have our company supporting as the presenting sponsor. On behalf of our entire organization, I want to thank SCORE for all their dedication and efforts to bring the 54th running of this event to life once again as a full-pull peninsula run. In addition, we also want to thank the great people of Baja for continuing this tradition of inviting competitors and fans from around the world to come to their amazing country and host the Baja 1000. And last but certainly not least, we want to thank and congratulate all our 4WP Official drivers and teams competing in the race. We have a stacked team once again representing 4WP which includes our very own President and CEO, Craig Scanlon who will compete for his first Baja 1000 victory in his Polaris RZR (#2931). McMillin Racing and their two Trophy Trucks (#23 & #83) will battle for another victory at the Baja 1000, something they and their family has done for many decades. Both Luke & Dan McMillin are not just great racers but also great ambassadors for both 4WP and the sport in general and with Luke adding the legend Rob MacCachren to share driving duties with in the #83, it makes for a very exciting team to watch. I wish everyone competing a fun and safe race and we can’t wait to follow along to see who will be crowned Baja 1000 champions at the finish line in La Paz!”

2021 baja 1000 race course map

The last time Baja 1000 ran all the way down the peninsula was in 2017, and this year it’s no joke! With 1,227 miles zig zagging all the way down to La Paz. Of the 1,227 race miles only about 200 are on the highway, making it a true Baja 1000, with over a thousand miles of high speed race course.

For this year’s Baja 1000 Luke McMillin teamed up with Rob MacCahren in the #83 Trophy Truck.
