It is hard to deny that Ford’s latest-generation F-150 is pretty sweet. Introduced in 2018, the redesigned F-150 is extremely comfortable and very capable. It can haul and tow plenty across town or across the country. And, it can do all of that in comfort rivaling any luxury car. It is little surprise that the F-150 is America’s best-selling vehicle.

All of that luxury and capability is great. But one of the coolest features of the newer F-150 is it is now available with a 3.0L V6 Power Stroke diesel. While half the size of its bigger brother, the “baby” Power Stroke still delivers. It pumps out 250 horsepower and a delicious 440 lb-ft of torque at 1,750 rpm. In the right configuration, it can tow up to 11,400 lbs. and haul almost 2,000 lbs. in its bed. That is some serious capability. Even better, the 3.0L gets 30 miles per gallon on the highway. That is absolutely awesome for a full-size truck.

With either the standard 26-gallon or optional 36-gallon fuel tank, a 3.0L Power Stroke F-150 has a decent range. For those need serious range there is now a 48-gallon tank available from TITAN for 2018-19 Ford F-150s with the 6.5-foot bed. Just how far can you go on it? Well, if you can achieve a constant 30 miles per gallon, the TITAN tank will enable you to go for 1,440 miles before running dry!

TITAN tanks are different from others because they are constructed from military-grade cross-linked XLHDPE polymer that is at least ¼-inch thick. This makes them extremely rugged and tough when compared to metal tanks. Another plus is that you never have to worry about corrosion. We have used one in our Dodge truck for years, and it has survived plenty of abuse. TITAN tanks are also backed by a lifetime warranty.

When compared to the stock unit, the TITAN 48-gallon tank for the 2018-19 Ford F-150 only hangs down 1.9-inches lower. It is also tapered using a low fuel trap so it can use every gallon of diesel. And, it is a Generation 6 tank that features TITAN’s Torque Ring OEM-style sending unit mounting system for easy installation. Getting 48 gallons of diesel on board your F-150 is easy as there is no cutting, drilling, or fabrication required for installation. Once in place, you won’t have to worry about refueling your Ford for a very long time.
