Mickey Thompson Tires has engineered and manufactured 4×4 and off-road enthusiast tires for more than half a century, and continues that heritage with the all-new Baja Boss family of radial truck and SUV tires. In addition to the Baja Boss M/T and Baja Boss X, Mickey Thompson has now added the Baja Boss A/T all-terrain tire. This extends the Baja Boss lineup, which now includes a mud-terrain tire, an extreme off-road tire and the new all-terrain tire. No matter what conditions you put in front of your 4×4, there is a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tire for you. Read on for a closer look at the new Baja Boss A/T and all of the Baja Boss tires.

Lesser tires don’t stand a chance in the rocks. The Baja Boss A/T features PowerPly XD sidewalls, which adds a 50-percent heavier denier cord to the angled third sidewall ply. This not only offers better puncture resistance, it provides quicker steering response and greater stability too.

Baja Boss A/T

The all-new Baja Boss A/T was designed by Mickey Thompson to deliver undisputed on-road handling, performance and tread life. Unlike many other all-terrain tires, The Baja Boss A/T was also designed to take on mud, thanks in part to the asymmetric tread design. Mickey Thompson says it’s the company’s best all-terrain tire to date.

The extreme Sidebiters on the Baja Boss A/T are 150-percent deeper than the Sidebiter sidewall lugs found on the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3. They offer an aggressive look and increased extreme off-road traction and protection.

04 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT Asymmetrical Tread
The asymmetrical tread pattern on the Baja Boss A/T reduces road noise and improves all-weather performance. Off-road, the open lugs dig and grip for traction in loose, rocky, muddy and uneven terrain.

There are 43 sizes available up to 37 inches in diameter for 16-, 17-, 18-, 20-, 22- and 24-inch wheels. If you’re rolling heavy with a 3/4- or 1-ton truck, don’t worry, the hard-working Baja Boss A/T has you covered with load ranges that include D, E and even F for the really big loads. Plus, these high load ranges aren’t limited to only smaller diameters like with other tire brands. The 35- and 37-inch Baja Boss A/T is available with E and F load ratings. Speaking of coveted ratings, almost every size of the Baja Boss A/T comes with the 3PMS (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) severe snow service rating, making it a great tire choice for those that regularly encounter white winter conditions. To top it off, the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T features a 50,000 mile tread wear warranty.

Nearly every size of the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T is stamped with the coveted 3PMS (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) severe snow service tire rating. It’s an all-season, mud rated all-terrain tire that’s designed for taking on extreme winter conditions too.

Deep snow, sand and mud is where the aggressive Sidebiter sidewall tread really shines. The extra traction will help keep your 4×4 moving forward.

07 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT Tread

A silica-reinforced tread compound improves on-road treadwear and helps prevent cutting and chipping of the lugs in sharp rocks and gravel. It also improves on-road wet handling and braking performance.

Baja Boss M/T

If severe muddy conditions are your thing, then maybe the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T is the right tire for you. The Baja Boss M/T is available in 33 different sizes up to 40 inches in diameter for 15-, 16-, 17-, 18-, 20-, 22- and 24-inch wheels. The asymmetric tread pattern reduces noise and improves handling and ride, while the proven PowerPly XD three-ply sidewall construction and extra-large four-pitch Sidebiters fend off punctures and increase off-road traction. A silica-reinforced tread compound offers better wear, cut and chip resistance as well as improved wet handling and braking, while stone ejector ribs prevent gravel from being wedged into the large tread grooves. Several of the larger diameters are available in load range E and F. Jeep-popular flotation sizes are available with a more compliant and lighter weight C and D load range.

08 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT

For more wet and muddy conditions you may want to consider the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T. It offers many of the same carcass durability features that the Baja Boss A/T has, but with a more aggressive tread.

09 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss X

The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss X may look near identical to the Baja Boss M/T, but this extreme off-road tire features an extra-grippy competition tread compound that’s designed to make traction. Unfortunately, the Baja Boss X is not a street legal DOT compliant tire.

Baja Boss X

For all-out extreme off-road only traction the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss X is the tire for you. It’s not a DOT compliant street legal tire, but the sticky competition tread compound will have your 4×4 climbing walls. Puncture-resistant sidewalls are reinforced with Mickey Thompson PowerPly XD, which adds an extra thick denier cord to the angled third sidewall ply. Extra-large four-pitch Sidebiters increase sidewall traction in extreme terrain and stone ejector ribs prevent gravel from being wedged into the tread grooves. The Baja Boss X is available in 37×12.50R17 and 40×13.50R17 flavors.
