Reviews: Warn XD9000i Self-Recovery Winches

I have had a xd9000i on my tj for 20 years and now its on my new jk. Been super reliable and have used it quite hard at times without issue.

Saved my ass more than once and also made me some $$$ pulling idiots out !! Mine is now 21 years old and still works great. Replaced cable once..

It is a very reliable tool. I recently used it to pull an oak tree up the hill at 175ft. Away and it was straining to the load it had but never gave out. Any other brand would have smoked out and died. I strongly recommend the 9000 lb. For this type of work. Be safe and carefully because this is a very powerfully tool and without proper use can cause great bodily injury or death. Rope can snap and cut a limb off like butter.

This winch is very simple to install and very simple to operate. The build quality is excellent and is substantial. It just does everything right.

Very happy with this winch--came on my Jeep when I bought it.

Used it first time out to pull out a jeep cherokee that had gotten in way over their head on a very difficult trail. The guys said they had been stuck for over 3 hours. It took less than 5 minutes to pull them out and the winch didn't strain at all pulling them out uphill without the power of their own vehicle.

I love this winch. I installed it on a custom bumper I made for my 94 cherokee. Now I plow snow instead of shoveling it! This winch would be better with a synthetic rope. I plan to add the Warn recommended rope system next season. "I GOT what I paid for"....thanks 4wheel Parts...you've made my winter

I originally bought the M8000 on sale, because it is such an incredible value, but I did not like the way that it looked after installing it in my Jeep. I could not find a good place for the solenoid package, and therefore optedd for the XD9000i because of its integrated solenoid package. This winch has remarkable pulling power and speed. It is easy to install and use and is very solidly built.

The overal of this product is very well. The only thing that i did not like when i took it out of the box is that the mounting brackets that the bolts go thru the winch look very flimsy. But it installed inless than an hour.
