Strong and well made. Very easy to install.

Mounted easily and is out of the way. Like others have said, a liner would have been great, but I just used the liners you can get for toolbox drawers. Great extra security if you have to leave your "equalizer" in the jeep for some reason.

Very durable and fits under the seat perfectly. Great for locking small belongings up when the doors/top is off.

Yes, a Glock 19 and spare mag will fit. No a 1911 or M9 will not.

This unit is easy to install; just remove the two front seat bolts and slide in the box. The total install time took about 30min. You need a big breaker bar to remove the two seat bolts though. Other that that its pretty easy. The extra storage space is well needed in the Jeep. You can safely travel with gun secured in your vehicle under California law. I think it's a great product and I'm proud it's made in the USA.

Nice security box. Sturdy and easily accessible. The only thing that would make it better is if they could make one that would automatically "key" to your ignition key so you wouldnt have to carry an extra key on the key ring. There is a mopar hoodlock for the jeep that does this and I would pay extra for that feature.

This security drawer is just what's needed in a vehicle that has no other solid secure compartments. It fits the bill perfectly.

This thing is super tough and a very good value for the money. The only thing that would make it better is if they would have included a cheap foam liner so I wouldn't have to find something myself. Twenty five cents worth of foam included in the kit would have a saved me a trip to town. Otherwise, it's a great product that will hold a government model 1911 with plenty of space left over.

Easy install and high quality. No regret

Bolted right in, no noises and I only used the two seat mounting bolts. The upgrades I agree with are: It could use a felt lining and if I could key it to my ignition key it would be flawless. Also I keep my seat all the way back and it hasn't been in the way yet.

My Jeep TJ is pretty well Tuffy-ized; I run topless and park at trailheads during the mild times of the year--so I have Tuffy console, rear storage, and glove box to secure the basics. Added this just for more space and it works as advertised. I've got a riser kit on my seats (1.5") and they could make it substantially larger if they included risers with it (which are a good idea anyway as the TJ seats sit way too low when stock). Do wish that it was easier to get keyed alike tumblers from retailers...

The instructions were not enough. Finally figured out had to unbolt the entire seat assembly, the left wing goes under the chair foot, the right side goes on top. And make sure you watch out for the wire harness underneath!!

I was pleased with the construction of the unit, but had to return it because a full-size government 1911 won't fit inside. It is about a half inch too short. If someone could make a unit that was 2 inches or less in height, a longer lock box could fit under the flip seat's cable bar. I will be having a custom fabbed plate steel box built to bolt under the seat. I cannot find a commercially available, decently built unit that meets my needs. There is room down there as 1911's are a narrow handgun. I recommend it if you have a handgun with a 4" barrel or less.

It’s a good product but if you want to add the extra security it will turn a twenty minute job into a ninety minute job that requires an extra pair of hands. Sure this could be better designed. It also a challenge to reinstall the drawer when it is in place because of the pedals. For this reason I would recommend the passenger side version if you don’t need easy access from driver’s seat.
