Reviews: Smittybilt XRC Tailgate with Tire Carrier

I was skeptical after reading some reviews about how hard to install. Not to bad if you?re a little handy and have few electric tools. Overall very solid I have 35 inch tire never heard rattling.

Lengthy install but with a little patience it is well worth it!

Easy to install but time consuming, strong and looks great.

Fits my 2014 rubicon unlimited perfect , installation is about 6hrs , I did swap out some bolts and added some washers on the pins , and I siliconed around the inside seams , fits my 35" perfect and the LED is bright , it's a tighter fit and closes smoother then stock . the bottle opener is a great touch.

Make sure you have the UPDATED instructions!!! The instructions that came in the box are completely junk!! Other that the instructions seems to be a good door the hardware is little cheap. Overall decent product

Solid, sturdy and can definitely hold bigger than 37 inch tire. The directions leave out 35% of assembly items and some small screws are cheap aluminum and need to be replaced. Took 6-8 hours with 2 people due to lack of install directions. Everything fit perfect and works perfect. I installed on 2015 JKU rubicon with 37 inch bead lock(heavy).
