Awesome Bubmper

Bumper went on fine, fitment was good, instructions were ok and could have been better with clearer photos. Bumper is very heavy-duty and looks great

Perfectt enhancement to off road capability

Visually perfect fit for the JK - not cartoonishly big nor bland. Carries the winch low, so good for airflow, balance and protection. Skid plate protects the sway bar disconnect bits. Reuse of driving lights is a nice touch. Had to grind off sloppy frame rail welds for ideal installation - what does that tell you about on-point design and manufacture!

Smittybilt Atlas Bumper

Great product. Smittybilt has been great with their products. We recently bought a used Smittybilt bumper and I called tech support and they helped with our issue and sent a free replacement part even though we had bought it used. That sealed the deal and we will continue to buy their products! This bumper shipped quickly and went on easily.

XRC bumper

Looks great with the stock fenders. Matches up nicely. It’s heavy duty construction and mounts right up perfect. I’m not putting in a winch, so I’m going to make a plate to cover the winch hole. Wish Smittybilt sold or added a plate.

Great Front Bumper

the product looks good and does enhance the appearance of the jeep. The combination of the bumper and winch work well in assisting in getting the jeep out of the rough. Installation was not too difficult but illustrations in the instructions was a little problem. Pictures were not the greatest. Installation can be done by one person but much easier with help. Good Product

Great Bumper

I put this bumper on my Jeep and it already paid for itself b/c it withstood hitting 2 deer at the same time and all that was broke was the control box on the winch.

Easy Installion

I've had two JK's and a few different bumpers. The Atlas bumper is a very nice bumper with easy installation, it took me the better part of a Saturday, but I did it by myself. Great finish and good hardware. There is some confusion regarding the vacuum pump relocation. On my 2013 Rubicon I did not need to relocate the pump. The base plate for the winch is notched in the pump area. Also you'll be asked to cut part of the frame rail. The direction were a bit vague and some of the pictures are not really helpful. The portion of frame they ask you to cut is the bottom corner of the horizontal frame across the front. You are only trimming the corners to allow the skid plate to sit flush against the horizontal front member of the the frame. The skid plate will still bolt on even if you do not trim the bit that hangs below the front member. The kit comes with a "bumperette" and although it doesn't say anything in my opinion this option is if you are using steel cable on your winch with rollers. The bumperette will give you added protect the rollers. I have rope so i left the bumperette off. If I didn't my rope would rub on the edges of the bumperette. Also the clevis mounts are very low which is the only thing i don't like about the bumper.

Air guard and front bumper looks awesome

Installed on a 2010 Sport S Unlimited. Dropped my front almost 2" over stock bumper You'll need to be assembly inclined as the proper order for some of the directions are not clear. The added weight over stock front bumpers will require a front spring upgrade (lift not required). Fog lights are moved out six inches from stock placement; you'll need to splice and add wiring as no harness extension is provided. One bolt on the Air guide wouldn't line up with the bottom of the bumper (absolutely a quality control issue), but it's still functional.

Awesome Bumper

Great bumper and looks good. no issues getting holes lined up. The instructions and photos need to be updated. It would've ben nice to have a wiring extenstion for the fog lights. A list of the tools needed would also be a great help. wasted a lot trying to find the correct tools.

Looks great and it wont break the bank

The winch plate comes with 4 studs attached and two larger bolts you bolt to the frame outside to the inside. On the passenger side the large bolt fit with no problem, the driver side however I had to enlarge the hole with a reamer. Locate the Vacuum pump on a 2012 where that mounts to the frame the hole in front of that needs to be enlarged. Do this before you install the winch plate. If you have problems locating this hole just allign the winch plate and you will see it.

Atlas from Albuquerque

I bought this bumper ar 4wp in Albuquerque in 2019 had them install it and the Smittybuilt 9500lbs winch. It has a Hawse fairlead. Love the way my fog, parking and head lights line up. Zero.problems or complaints. But the fairlead is recessed about 3 inches into the bumper. It would grind on the bumper.if any side pulls were attempted. The picture in this add shows a roller fairlead. Perfect. How do I get one? Thanks

Great product, worthless instructions

Great product, ordered online and picked up at The San Marcos store. Simple and excellent transaction. Great product, we’ll engineered. Why 4 stars ? The Directions are absolute trash! If you attempt to follow them it will cost you time! Check the parts list, lay everything out the way it goes on and throw the directions away! A couple of tips, if you are installing a winch and you are going to install the bull bar, top mount your control box. When mounting the bottom skid plate stick your fingers through the front to keep the “captured” nut in place. They pop out very easily otherwise.

XRC Atlas Front Bumper

I love the look of the bumper on my JK. The bumper being built in 4 major pieces makes it manageable for one person to install in the garage. The instructions could definitely use some help. The hardware has changed since the instructions were written, and it is somewhat difficult to determine if you have the correct hardware. The build quality is top notch. All of the holes and panels lined up great.

nice bumper

I really like this bumper and it looks amazing. From the steel construction to the awesome design this is a fantastic bumper. What I cannot understand is why the instructions are so poor. It is not that you can't follow them but there are a lot of gaps that could easily be covered with a few images. The installation of the winch plate is the most glaring example. By the way, vacuum pump relocation is not needed on the 2013, but you will need to extend the fog light leads.

Nice Fit

Having to work with four pieces instead of one heavy one made it a one man job. Some of the bolt holes weren't quite perfect, but the two I had trouble with, were cleaned up a little help of a step drill and it went together fine. Although the front Stainless Steel plates weren't quite necessary, the flow of the bumper with the fenders was impressive. Overall, the looks and solid construction is very good!
