It was very easy to install took no more than 30 min.I have a 06 wrangler did not have to do any grinding took the 6 bolts off stock bumper pulled it off slid stinger right on put 6 bolts back in no problems .I am still not sure if I like the look yet. There is nothing wrong with the product it just looks kind of like a tow bar on front . I got a winch on the way so maybe that will improve the look. Its very well built and you cant beat the price . Just make sure thats the look you are going for before you order it.

Great bumper for the price. Better than expected. Also got the adapters to mount to my CJ. Some cutting was needed, but install was still very easy. I will be getting another for the YJ.

Great style for a yj. Holds up great offroad.

This is the best stinger for any Jeep out there , this bumper give the jeep a Nice look and rugged.

This thing looks great on the front of my TJ. Had to use a rubber mallet to hit on because it was real tight but other than that is went real smooth and looks great when I put the winch on it.

Sharp look good fit. Will work with winch mounting plate with minimal altercations.

I bought this front bumper for my 1990 YJ cause I wanted something that stood out, and I do get some head turns from it. I did have to file open all of the bolt holes a bit, and I had to file down some welds on my frame where the bumper gets mounted on so that it would go all the way in but nothing a Jeep owner can't handle lol. You do have to reuse your old mounting bolts which were Torx bolts for me which is fine because I don't want it to be easy for someone to just unbolt my bumper and walk away with it. I'm happy with my purchase and it makes my 1990 YJ look a little cooler. Oh, and the shipping was super fast! I ordered it Monday night, and it got to me on Wednesday of the same week.

Wasn't sure if I would like the style of a Stinger, but it really gives my YJ attitude! Great price and Fast delivery too, 3 days, just like my SRC Rear bumper! A little grinding on the frame was required, just as advised in instructions. No big deal. The winch was a bit more complicated because the prior owner installed a universal mount that they had modified, but I eventually got all three married together and it's a nice package. Wish it had come with the D-rings though.

Hardest part of install was removing the six 14year old bolts(06 wrangler). Two were stuck on, fixed with pb blaster and a torch to one of them. After that it pretty much slides right on. Tight fit to get back over the frame, but a few kicks and some hammering set it into place. Welds look great, heavy duty and durable. I?ll edit my review if I start seeing unusual wear or rusting, but for $250 you can?t expect it to be perfect forever. Hopefully I?m wrong.

Great bumper for the price

I have heard both good and bad things about Smittybilt. I bought this as my first mod to my jeep, had no problems installing it. The other day I was trail riding, and hit a swamp. This bumper saved my jeep front collapsing the front end. I also recently installed a winch plate and winch. one problem was that the winch plate was straight, and this bumper has welds; meaning you have to cut the winch plate. No big deal tho. I would recommend over and over again, was to my door in two days.

The stinger looks great and really gives some space between the grill and any other object. if you do offroading and have oversized tires, I suggest this piece of equipment. I also suggest you get the D-rings for easy towing and a winch.

This product is awesome. Great replacement for that stock piece of scrap bumper. It adds a mean look to the jeep and is easy to install. Had to grind off some OEM booger welds and that was it. My friend is [*] that I have a nicer bumper for [$] than his custom $500 job. Took like 30 min. Done.

Product is easy to install. Simply unbolt the old bumper and slide this one on, re-bolt, and you are done. Has a great aggressive look. Took me no more than 30 minutes for the whole install. Overall, awesome product.

awesome product one downfall was that i had to do some grinding on the frame of the jeep itself, some welds were to tall it wouldnt fit, but easily grinded them smaller, had to make holes in bumper wider to fit on the jeep as well. took about and hour. great look and awesome design though.

It really doesn't get much better, only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had fabricate some brackets to mount my fog lights but it looks amazing and even better than before. Very Very strong!!!!!

This stinger really improved the look of my Jeep. Took about 10 minutes to install, and was VERY reasonably priced compared to other front bumpers!

Smittybilt has really improved everything they sell across the board. The stinger bumper now has a solid weld across the front. This bumper is flat out solid. I'm confident in a rollover it would hold it's own. D rings welded to the front are additional plus. Total installation took 5 minutes, literally!! Fit was perfect and I like the black textured over powdercoat anyway of the week. Buy this bumper and you will be glad you did.

Unless you have a fairytale OEM frame like the Chinese Spy that just bolted his bumper on, be prepared to spend quality time with a Dremel and Grinder. I have a 2003 Wrangler X. This bumper was a pain to put on but was worth the hassle. Make sure to spray some rustolium on both your frame and bumper when finished grinding. This bumper is compatible with a warn 37170 winch mount. Also, if your mounting a winch and plate on this bumper, be sure to use grade 8 bolts.
