Got this tent about a month ago, and it's been a great addition to my camping setup. Straightforward to install, this rooftop tent has been used on all kinds of surfaces, from a paved campground site to very uneven, rocky terrain, and even being parked in a bit of a depression so the tent was only about three feet of the ground, and the adjustable ladder works great. Cozy, well ventilated, and it opens up and packs back down easily. I love that I can fold my double-wide sleeping bag into it, making it a one stop sleeping shop. Thanks, Smittybilt!

Excellant tent arived with no damage..Easy to install

You need 2 people to install for sure. Low profile crossbars are hard to install on. But once it's on its good to go. Unless I can't figure it out, you'll need to cut a hole under the zipper for the long over the top straps to go through so you can zip up the cover. But still really impressed.

I looked at several different tents and this is the best in price and quality. Compared to my buddies T#$*" brand this is far and away better. It larger darker seems to be built better. Reinforced in the weak spots better. Telescope ladder is nice. Easier to assemble then videos of old model. Took me 45 minutes to assemble.

I love this tent. Perfect for my needs. The people at 4wp riverside made this happen during Covid and their customer service is always amazing!

This is my first roof top tent and I love it, it’s awesome me and my wife use it just about every weekend on our camping adventures

We purchased our Smittybilt Gen2 about a year ago and it has been a great purchase! There is plenty of space for two people. It has a light that is powered via USB that makes the tent very bright and the foam mattress is actually pretty comfortable. We live in Florida and we camped through a tornado warning, very very heavy rain and wind and water did not get inside and our tent held up very nicely. We plan to take this bad boy across the US on our honeymoon!

Upgraded from a gen1 XL to the Gen2 and everything I complained about in the gen1 was addressed in the gen2 very happy with this tent

Easy going with assembly and very pleased with quality. Wife and I took a nap in the driveway after initial setup and were nice and toasty even though it was only 36 degrees outside.

It feels durable and easy to setup roof top tent installed on my Honda CRV 16".

The tent is incredible quality. If you considering a less expensive tent just spend the extra 250 and get this over the gen 1. The packaging was amazing and left little room for there to damages during shipping. Ive had it 3 weeks and slept twice in it. Once in 50 degree weather and another in 32 degree weather. Both times very comfortable. The only possible complaint i have is that there shpuld be a different set of spring bars that can occomidate for the roof of a truck. Many people put the tent below roofline on the bed pf their truck and this prevents ypu from being able to install the last rainfly spring bar. However of you have a roof rack or some ingenuity you can figure out how tp make it work. A spring bar with a bend in it would be nice for this reason.
