Reviews: Smittybilt 36,000 lb. Snatch Block - 2748

I actually bought three of these because being retired I have more time than my buddies to hit the trails and wheeling alone requires good recovery equipment because... stuff happens. A trio may seem like overkill but it's perfect for my uses. [With a little geometry & LOTS of winch wire lol] My front mounted winch can actually pull my Jeep backwards with my setup. This can make all the difference when out wheeling solo. Effectiveness?: They work exactly as they are supposed to and in short I think that if you run a winch.. you should have a snatch block or two because when you need one there is no substitute.

This heavy duty pulley really made some difficult lifting jobs much easier around our farm. Also, helps with the occasional rescue from the mud.

Extreme off road

I bought this to use to drop 5 trees that were in tight spaces in my neighborhood. It allowed me to pull in the direction needed from a safe position. Has a 36k lb breaking strength and a 6 ton working load. Plenty of room for my 3/8" cable. I maxed out my Warn 8274 and the snatchblock never had any issues. Only downfall and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is it has "Made in China" in the casting.
