When I go 4wheeling I don't like getting hung up on obstacles and the 3.5 lift gives me the height I'm looking for without the added cost of a 4" lift. It performs well on the road in fact I think the ride is better. However, it is difficult for my wife and kids to get in with it being so high. I will have to get a step bar for them. I didn't install the product so I can't comment on the installation. But my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon looks and drives great.
Winner winner chicken diner Shocks and front track bar included
Excellent !! Performance and look are exactly what we were looking for.
Great ride good flex great look.the 4wheelparts crew was great 👍
Very happy with lift was just like it was advertised a great complete kit. Only thing I didn’t like was instructions were generic for all Rubicon lifts
I bought this lift and installed it on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon, I also put on 37" Tires. On the road this is slightly softer than the stock suspension it's mostly noticed starting and stopping, side roll isn't bad. Off road this gives you so much travel that you can tackle the toughest trail. Very happy with this lift. Took a full day to install. Note if you have a Rubicon the sway bar disconnects that come in this kit don't work, I used the original rear sway bar disconnects on the front with this lift and it worked perfect. The flex achieved with this lift is so much that a full width bumper is a bad idea as you can see in the pictures.
I like the street ride better than stock, when you hit a bump it feels a little stiffer but strong and recovers fast with no bounce - the off-road feels like a beast. I had 4 Wheel Parts do the installation for a reasonable price and them taking care of everything (including calibrating the speedometer and shifting - (which I also like better than stock) and alignment) I'm sure saved me a lot of time and grief. Only disappointment is some would probably call my Jeep level now but to me it looks like it is squatting in the rear and i just personally despise a nose-high looking Jeep. I would take it down to 4 stars for this but I see they re-sealed my rear differential cover that was leaking at no charge and I suppose "leveling" (or the manufacturer's interpretation of it) was supposed to be part of the package so I'll leave it at 5 stars. However, I am going to have to add a minimum of 1" or likely the Rubicon Express 1.75" rear coil spacers to make me happy with the look and feel of the way it sets.
Although it has not been installed yet, this kit is quality. The components are heavy duty and much more stout than the stock components it will replace.
Easy to Install, and the ride is great, I would definitely recommend it, I will be buying the ajustable lower control arms next, buying through 4wheel drive parts was great.
I am very pleased with my Rubicon Express lift. High quality components that fit well. I spent allot of time researching to find the most complete and inexpensive kit I could. In the end I would up going with this. Coupled with the free shipping the price was basically the same by the time you completed other brands cheaper kits. Drives great and performs great on and off road.
Everything seamed to be of great quality. I do wish that it had come with new bolts for the leaf spring as I had to cut mine out and go buy new, opted to buy Bilstein shocks instead of RE shocks.
So far this lift is fantastic. It has very predictable handling on the road and no steering quirks that other lifts may cause. So far I have noticed no under or over steer and very minimal or no deflection when hitting imperfections on the pavement which is great for a daily driver. With the right shocks, I have so much travel, I will now probably need to add limiting straps to avoid over extension of the suspension (This is also due to the King Shocks added at the same time as the lift). So far, I have not noticed any excessive body roll due to the 3.5" Short Arm Lift. If you want the best of both worlds (Daily Drive/Weekend Warrior) this lift kit is it.
Instead of just replacing the sagging rear leafs on my '00 XJ Cherokee with OEM replacements, decided to just spring for the lift. After doing a lot of research I decided to go with this kit. Rides a bit stiff at first, but seems to be breaking in (only been driving for a month with the lift on). No SYE needed yet. A few minor driveline vibrations, but okay for now. Haven't gotten to flex it much, but I've done some fender trimming to clear my new 32/11.50/r15s, and it looks great!
This is a great lift for the price. A lot of people complain about it not including upper control arms or a adjustable track bar but you can purchase these items separate and if they added them it would cost a couple hundred more. I would suggest buying the adjustable track arm though cuz drilling the hole for the track arm in the perfect place is a little hard. The lift rides better than my stock but it was pretty shot. It's a little stiff but I'm sure that will change. Another thing you need to consider is a sye kit. These run about 500 but you might have to have one. I got away with some transfer case drop spacers but this is only a temperary fix. I will be purchasing a sye kit ASAP. All in all I am very pleased with its looks and performance. It raised mine a little over 4 inches. Install wasnt to bad but I do have some mechanical experience. The hardest part was the coils and rusted bolts make sure to spray them down with a good penetrating lube and be prepared to cut some off. Mainly the rear spring bolts.
This is on my daily driver. I run it with the bilstein 5100's. I commute 750 miles a week and the ride is great! Ran it offroad on some 3 diamonds and it performed better than I expected. Super flex accurately describes. Came out with roughly 4" of lift on 3.5" springs even with the winch. I also have a 1" body lift and it will still stuff a 33 to the fender!
This kit was easy enough to install. As typical my rusty jeep was a royal pain to get the old parts off. The new kit fit well and looks fantastic. A small rake to the front puts your XJ in a perfect stance. I opted for Bilstein 5100's to top this off and it rides great! I'd only say that i think that this kit could be a little more complete by simply Including new leaf spring bolts & Control Arm Bolts. I'd also like to see a pair of Axel Shims included. All of these pieces would make this kit just that much better. The addition of these pieces would be cheap and not require to run around locating them. Installed this kit with a transfercase drop and 2 degree shims and i've not no driveline vibes. Runs and rides great!
They shdo a kit that covers the lift and the steering components. Also the instructions were terrible
