Reviews: Nitto 295/70R17 Tire, Trail Grappler - 205-710

These tires are great! Have had friends buy the Nitto Mud Grappler and love the functionality, but hate the lifetime of them. One friend had his mud graps go bald within ten months! The trail grapplers have lasted me a year so far, and have shown little signs of wear and still hold their cosmetic beauty. If are considering an off road tire, but don't want to waste money because of tread life, these are for you. Im a very picky person, and usually do extensive research, and these will definitely be my next tire purchase after the current ones go bald!

They are great in any type of soil!! I have loved how quiet they are. Only problem is that they throw rocks once you get up to speed.

I just bought these for my '06 F150 after a LONG time reviewing tires online. Although I didn't really need a mud tire like this I wanted them! I spent a little extra money on the trail grapplers after reading a ton of reviews. And I agree with the common pro's of these tires:low road/highway noise despite such a deep tread pattern and the fact that they are a mud tire;great looking tires with an aggressive look;and so far seem to have great grip,although have only been in a little mud so not really field tested yet. I've only put about 800 miles on them, so as far as tread life I can't say this early. My only hope is that they give me some good miles and don't have any wear issues (like uneven tread wear or wearing quickly). In my opinion so far, I would highly recommend these tires. BTW, I needed a 2"front leveling kit to fit these 33"ers.
