This gasket is the answer. No more lubing up the rear differential with rtv sealent. No mess what so ever.

I have used Lube Locker gaskets for years. These are the Gold Standard in drivetrain gaskets. Just looking at them in your hand, you can tell you are dealing with quality. I have never had one of these fail, even after reusing them up to 3 times. Not recommended by the manufacturer, but can be done if one is careful regarding tightening pan or cover bolts. Watch that torque if you want to reuse!

I used this on my 2003 suburban and couldn't be any happier. Fast, simple, and no leaks. The only thing I did diferently was torque to 15 ft lb and then to 25 ft lb. The directions want the final torque at a whopping 35 ft lb and several people out there have snapped bolts off. Stick to 25 and you will be fine.
