Reviews: Kentrol Footman Loops

While driving to the Eastern Shore, MD The turbulence from a tractor trailer ruffled the hood so much, that it broke the factory footman loop. We were forced to seek an alternative and the Kentrol version is heavily coated with several grommets & washers to suit all jeep wranglers. This being said, Makes this Footman loop a far superior upgrade/replacement for any Jeep Wrangler.

OEM stock hood footman loop broke on it's own without ever being used on 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimted. OEM part appeared to be just plastic with some molded-in brass/metal nuts. This one is much heavier and feels like solid metal. Original was black but this stainless steel looks nice and seems to be staying nice after three months so far.

This footman loop actually IS solid steel. There’s several others made by companies like Crown that are NOT steel and are covered in plastic and have pot metal posts. You can buy this one with 100% assuredness that it won’t break as you’re installing it. Great product!!!

I bought this as a replacement for the stock footman that came on my 06 TJ. The original was made of plastic and broke off while washing the vehicle. The replacment was the perfet size and fit for the stock holes. It was a little tricky to hold the new footmann in place while starting the nuts but a pice of painters tape solved the issue. I would reccommend replacing your stock footman with this before you break it.

It comes with nuts and washers. I drilled out the factory rivits and installed 10-24 rivit nuts in the pan so I could attach them better.

It’s metal & it fits. The included washer, lock washer, and nut are garbage. For reference, the nut is a 7mm. Reuse originals and enjoy having a tie down that won’t break.

i put on my 2000 jeep wrangler . it was quik and easy install . no problems our complaintes

A little better than factory. Price is a little high I'd say.
