Better than expected

Purchased to replace my stock diff covers on my 2005 Jeep TJ Rubicon. I also purchased the lube locker Dana 44 Diff Cover Gasket. Each cover came with a tube of gasket material but again I opted for the lube lockers. Covers came with replacement bolts (not hex as some covers, normal bolt covers 1/2 I believe). I like the fact the fill and drain plugs are different - the fill up higher allows more fluid so the gears should run cooler. While I like the color (bare metal appearance) I would have liked to see other color options - red for example. As is, these still stand out with my 2.5" lift. I had to pay for two-day shipping as my jeep was stranded in the driveway, but all in it was worth the cost. Great covers.

good affordable diff cover

like the drain and fill plugs. nice not having to remove cover for draining oil. like having the higher fill plug for an adjusted pinion angle

Great cover, but too large for stock

Well this cover is great! But I would say for lifted vehicles only. On my stock LJ the rear was perfect. No problems. The front on the other hand was sticking out too much and kept hitting the front track bar. Hitting hard! Even with a 2" lift it kept hitting. I grinded one of the ribs totally down to make it stop hitting. Worked until you hit large bump. So went back to the original diff cover. Gonna try a few more mods and see if I can get it working without the hits.

Well build and looks sharp

The cover is well built and it looks like it can take a beating, I installed it on the front of my 07 Rubicon. The oil fill hole it much higher than the OEM one so it will take a lot more fluid which should be better and due to the cover being aluminum it should keep the oil cooler too. The problem is if you need to replace an axle get ready the extra fluid is going to pour out.
